-1 becouse i am a demon and i will not have dragons:)
but if seriuosely +1. i understand this frustration becouse i was playind in event with dragons and its realy hard to hit the target and direction you want |
This idea is great, and not only for dragons.
Just an exemple with an other large creature:
L=lizard cavalry
V=vampire
S=skeletal bowman
O=empty
You want to make a corner attack on vamps with lizards, while blocking skeletons:
VOOO
OLLO
OLLO
OOOS
A very frequent missclick (for me it's at least 1 time each 3-4 attempts) turns it into this situation:
VOOO
LLOO
LLOO
OOOS
Then skeletons shoot at your lizz and kills them all, the whole battle is lost because of the missclick.
It's even worse with short timer, sometimes you have something like 20 seconds left, you already choosed wich move you want to do, and you are moving your mouse on the area, trying to find the right pixel to click.
20seconds later, your turn is wasted because you didn't found the right pixel in time.
I don't have dragons, but i already lost douzens of battles due to these missclicks and turns lost.
A big+1 for the idea |
Absolutely must be limited to large, non-shooter creatures. |

I often have trouble even with non-large units, to attack on a particular corner, especially in big 3x3 GB's, when the size of the field gets stretched, and thus the squares get stretched. (especially with high-levels that have larger armies, and thus the field is even more stretched) |
-1 on the shift/double click suggestion,
don't get me wrong, the miss-clicking problem does exist and it is really annoying to make accurate corner hits specially with large creatures.
But, i think the solution is not making it more complicated. it's fixing the flash engine of the game so that you have a wider window for each position and direction of attack rather than just a few pixels for the corner hits!
to be honest, i think double click/shift system is gonna make more problems than it's gonna solve !

+1 on fixing the game flash engine to choose attack direction more accurately. |

+1 to find a way to solve attack direction problem.
the problem exists for the small units too when it is very important to place it in a special place for blocking another enemy. |

Definately needed for large creatures; regularly makes missclick when attacking from corners, and sometimes, it does not even attacks in the end; just moves and stands-by...
For standard-sized creatures, that would be more of an annoyance to have to click twice. |

Frequently making pancakes because of misclicks on the dragon turn. |

Same problem with cerberi or blazing hounds. |

hope there is an option to activate or deactivate this type of battle |

corner hits often go wrong |
