oh i know that :) it seems i wasnt thinking, just woke up :)

Today is the day the Russian remember the victory in the Great patriotic War (what we call WWII) and acknowledge the sacrifices their people made.
Those of us with a Western education such as myself (Australian raised during the cold war era) which demonised the Russians and played down their WWII contribution due to them being the new enemy post WWII, should do well to look at the numbers here and understand that the D-day landing was a sideshow compared to the Eastern front.
