Author | Dispersion, Antimagic can they remove Disruption Ray? |
It seems that high defence parameter setup fails to hold the ground when hit by disruption ray spell.
1. May I know whether a spell can dispel disruption ray effect? Disruption ray effects on battle turn is "without duration"/ "unlimited duration"?
2. Dispersion works on cancel time/duration based spell. Please confirm.
3. Can antimagic cancel time/duration based spell?
Thank you. |
1.Disruption ray is permanent and cannot be dispelled.
2.Yes..I think
3.NO idea. |
3. Casts partial or absolute magic shield on the target. When cast, antimagic partially or entirely removes all beneficial and negative spell effects. Efficiency depends on Lord's spell power and total HP of the target |

hi Minjoot, can Antimagic cancel disruption ray?
Dis-ray is permanent |
3. Can antimagic cancel time/duration based spell?
Once the disruption spell goes through it decreases the defense of the target, for ever. Nothing in the world can remove that (it's like you made holes in your armor and only the blacksmith can repair them once the combat is over).
However, the antimagic, or magic resistence can affect the spell *before* it hits the target. By that I mean, if the disruption spell is cast at expert level and it is supposed to decrease defense by 6, then depending on how much magic resistance/antimagic the target has, the decrease of defense may be smaller than 6. |
Hi All, thanks.
So far the answer I gathered:
1. Disruption Ray effect is permanent?
2. Dispersion does not work on cancelling Disruption Ray
3. This narrow the question to Antimagic vs Disruption Ray

Meaning to say we have two different answer right now. Where Disruption Ray in can be dispel. |
Hi, can someone help?
Now, more than one of us is confused. Infact, me and my friend initiated this question.

Disruption ray is permanent. Once it has been cast, the defense parameter falls and cannot be recovered.
Anti-magic can lower the efficiency of disruption ray, only if it is cast prior to the disruption ray being cast. |

#9,
Thanks Corey.
If Anti-magic duration is 10 turns, does this mean if there is 10 Disruption Ray casted, those 10 spell will become lower efficiency or only the first Disruption Ray casted will have lower efficiency? |
for ScottFlair:
all 10 of them would have lowered efficiency. |
