In order to win you must outsmart the AI, witch should not be so difficult.
When fighting consider this:
1. The AI will always move towards you. So you can wait until it's troops are in range, take retail with a small stack then swarm in with your main stacks and destroy it.
2. The AI will have the same troops that you have, just in higher number. So you can for example stop recruiting shooters and the AI won't have shooters in it's army.
3. Play defensive, don't rush to attack. | tactics had been given by sirmorphius.
