Magic proof lowers damage gained from all offensive (damage dealing) spells.
Magic shield lowers that damage and also decrease effectiveness of dark magic spells. As example if someone cast delay with effect 40% on unit with barrier (20% magic shield) effect of delay will be X=0,4*(1-0,2)=0,32=32% |

i have rough idea abt it but i want to make it more clear
I have read tht magic shield also lowers the extra dmg done by piercing magic
Can anybody explain abt it
Lets take an example
If any player has 10% magic shield n 10% magic proof n his opponent is magic wizard having 12% piercing magic
Dmg done by wizard spell is 200 without considering any magic shield or magic proof
So wat will be the dmg done by same spell if we consider magic shield,magic proof n piercing magic

To makes things clear: i have no idea what is the difference between magic proof and magic shield.
Effect of lowering dark magic effect i noticed on rassistance and barrier talents and on aura of magic proof. from unicorns and brilliant unicorns.
All magic shield effects from artifacts works only against magic damage. |
