Author | profit from selling resources? |
i see a lot of people selling huge amount of resources on the market but to me it seems like they are losing money by doing this. for example wood, most sellers have the price of 178 or 179 per wood on the market. how are they making gold from this if the lowest on-map cost for wood is 180/ plus take into consideration tax, and that makes it even lower..
i see players selling it by the thousands, i just want an explanation behind this reasoning | The answer in most of the cases is no.They buy wood for 180 and sell for about 175-176(reducing tax)
Some players might also profit, once in a while u would easily b able to see in some1's profile description written " I buy resources 150/320"
I dont know why but some players sell their resources to these people.
Another reason is that if players collect a big big bulk of it,selling to facilities isnt really an option.for ex. with the compensation update I had about 200's of each resource,I sold them on market with a loss of less than 3k when compared to selling to facilities.
These are any possible reason I can think of
Hope I helped :) | only sulfur earns some profit, mostly all other are sold at some loss. | also when people level up they aquire some resources and there are sometimes leftovers they don't need. They could sell these, though it would not explain the vast quantities.
Just be glad people are willing to take a hit on the price so that the rest of us can save a little. | Clans who own facilities, they get part of wages earned by players who enroll there. If it's 3% of wages, it is worth it to its members to buy lets say 1000 of resources for 180 each, and sell for 178 each as the whole loss is made back with profit for the military clan. |
