| when i use lightning spell on neutral creature and my spell power 7,the damage done by lightning 352 and ice cold 372 but when i raise my spell power up to 14 lighning spell deal more damage compare to ice clod.as i know it should be ice cold deal more damage coz the spell consume 6 mana and lightning only consume 5 mana.is it a bugs?any best answers? |
since you are not using chose talent
your lightning spell damage is 11+11*spell power
and ice cold is 30+9*spell power

The lightning spell has less basic damage than ice cold, but stronger damage increase with spell power, that's why it deals more damage when you have more spell power. It's not a bug, it's a feature. |
Check here the rate of increase in damage of spell when spell power/talent changes.

Example:
for Lightining:
without any talent 11+11*Spell power
with basic chaos talent 13+13*Spell power
with advance chaos talent 15+15*Spell power
with expert chaos talent 17+17*Spell power
For ice clod:
without any talent 30+9*Spell power
with basic chaos talent 44+9*Spell power
with advance chaos talent 59+9*Spell power
with expert chaos talent 74+9*Spell power
Here you can see that the basic damage of ice clod is more compared to that of lightning but the increase in damage wrt spell power is more of lightning then ice clod.This is the reason for the damage variation that you have faced. |
