| I would recommend going for attack over defence almost all of the time. In high levels, arts can also easily make up for a lack of defence. |
generally, if your troop recruit relies on high initiative units or ranged units, attack is better. if it relies in low initiative units, defense helps them more.

Not many factions have shooters at level 3.
You are a knight, with bowmen. Go for attack.
when you get to levels where all factions have shooters, then try to go all defense (because knight has slow shooters) and defense knight is realy good with the high total hp.
at level 7+
all defense knight looses to chaos magic wizzard/dark elf/demon, but it is very good against everything else |
| Why go with defense knight? Yes you'll be good against some factions, but against chaos builds (mainly wiz/DE) there's no way of winning, since defense is useless against magic. At least knight with attack has a decent chance of winning against every faction (except wizard). |

next time, don't miss the opportunity of loading up with "Festive potion of oblivion" , buy like 5-10 of those from 10 gold each (regular is 2500 gold).
