Author | What type of computer is best for ensuring smooth battles? |
Hi. Right now I play the game on an HP Pavilion. It works fine for simple battles, like hunts, but almost invariably crashes when playing tournaments. I know this piece of junk is getting pretty old, so I was thinking about buying a new laptop or netbook. But I am having trouble figuring out what the best purchase would be. I know I could buy some really fancy thing if I had thousands of dollars to throw around, but I don't. I was thinking of getting a Chromebook, as they run around US$300 new, which is something I can afford. But I don't want to make that purchase if it isn't going to improve my ability to stay connected to the game. [I also really miss participating in events such as what is going on now, but I just know all that data would make my computer crash.]
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
I'd not recommend the chromebook for lwm...I don't know the precise dealers in your region selling good stuff for 300$; however, i say..I have 2.50ghz pentium+1gb NVDIA+4gb Ram on my PC and lwm and games like fifa and CoD work seamlessly well. For laptops, I try variants in processors too, I'd say I3 and above with 4gb of ram work well...A4 radeon for AMD do well without any incidental graphic cards...For 300$, u should be able to get an intel I3 with at least 2 gb of ram which does work well undoubtedly! |
Avoid 386 or 486 processors. If it has floppy drives, don't touch it. Even with ten foot long poles.
Seriously though, think of another game you like and use it as a standard. And I don't mean browser games. I'm pretty sure if it can play something like Warcraft (RTS (I have no experience with the MMORPG)) it should be able to handle the game fine. I'd focus more on connectivity. Does it have wifi? Does it support your ISP or compatible with your internet devices? Those kind of questions. |
Simple
Just get one of those brand new touch screen laptops.. The hp brand
It comes with intel 8 technology = 99% impossibility to lag
I been using it and Yeap, never lagged so far :)
Comes with 8ram
U got to pay around a 1000 usd for it though |
Unless you really need to carry it around with you them avoid laptops and netbooks completely.
For the same money you will get a far higher spec desktop and it will be upgradable.
I think you will find it hard to find ANY new computer which won't easily be able to cope with lwm. |
Buy some laptop/notepad with minimum of 4 GB ram and >2 ghz processor.
Also see to it that you have a better broadband connection. |
thanks for the tips. spent a tad more than I wanted, but no more banging my head on the keyboard because the computer crashed. just made it to wave 12 ST and had no problems. running 2.4Ghz and 4 GB RAM.
