How exactly works plus-shaped attack of patriarchs? I started to use them, but sometimes the plus-shape attack doesnt work as i am thinking it will work. Has someone any picture schemes? (large creature next to normal one, large next to large creature... etc.) |
Imagine the Stone Spike spell's Soike formation.
Now imagine your target to be at the centre of that formation. |

you hit the target + any non diagonal square next to it, thus a maximum of 5 squares. |
when the target is a large creature, the above it not true :) |
it still is true, just define the target as the square your mouse cursor is hovering above when you click. |
|
lets say example,units O=free square,X=large creature, S=small creature
Tell me in every case which creature must be hit first for hit every creature
1.)2 large + 1 small
OXXO - 1st large creature
OXXO - 1st large creature
OXXO - 2nd large creature
OXXO - 2nd large creature
OOSO - small creature
cant hit all 3?
2.)2 large + 1 small
OOXXXXOO
OOOOSOOO
2.)3 large
OOOXXOOO
OOXXXXOO
3.) 3 large
OOOXXOOO
OOOXXXXO
3.)2 small + 1 large
OSSO
OXXO
4.)3 small + 1 large
OSSSO
OXXOO
5.)2small + 2 large
OOXXOO
OOSSOO
OOXXOO
6.)2small + 2 large
OOXXXXOO
OOOSSOOO
7.)4large
OOXXXXOO
OOXXXXOO
8.)3 large+1 small
OOXXXXOO
OOOSXXOO
There are many many combinations, what to hit first? If someone had some picture schemes....Or it is simple? |
2, 3, 4 and 5 are possible to hit all targets.
2. (a) Hit the third X
2. (b) Hit the second or third X
3. (a) Hit the second X, second row.
3. (b) Hit either S
4. Hit second S
5. Hit either S |
which attack schceme of these is right ? A B C D or E?

A and B are both.
Between A and B, it doesn't matter the direction as I believe they all deal the same damage, so long they are adjacent to each other in terms of squares. |
A and B are both correct.
Sorry for double post. |
only confusing thing in this topic is you giving 10 exemplwe and numbering them 1 through 8 |
Very nicely observed, but to explain it in plain English, the target which you actually attack in in the center of the plus. Squares to the N, E, S, W are also attacked. If the target is a large creature, it is hit "3" times. However, it is only dealt damage once, similar to Earthen spikes. |
when you shoot enemy with starfire,
the top, bottom, left, and right side of the enemy will get hit too :)
simple :)
if you ever play as necro and use liches, you will know how to use this skill :)
(similar but not same) |

affected = cauth up in your spell area.
Clicked target is always affected, so he is not mentioned in the examples. |
