Author | Defence talent vs. defence parameter |
1.) For example, dwarven ursary with expert defence talent and 35 defence is equally to dwarven ursary without defence talent and xy defence. How much defence parameter needs ursary for same incoming damage from enemy attacks?
2.) 2 enemy creatures with another attack parammeter (for example 40 and 50, both primary melee attackers) will deal same damage to ursary with expert def + 35 def and same to ursary without def talent and uqualled defence? | 1 can not be calculated easily, you need to know much more things, including enchantments, attack of other player, etc. Since some enchantments reduce the defence stat, but have no effect on the talent itself.
2. one of the two stacks can deal the same amount of damage, but not both. If you fill in all the formulas, it will result in something like if attack-defence is smaller than x the extra defence is better and if its larger than x the expert defence is better. And if attack-defence is equal to x then both expert defence or the extra defence give the same result. | 1 can not be calculated easily, you need to know much more things, including enchantments, attack of other player, etc. Since some enchantments reduce the defence stat, but have no effect on the talent itself.
Also some units (ie. lizards) can bypass defence and some spell can remove defence as well.
Also defence talent will reduce melee while defence parameter will reduce melee and ranged.
So no precise answer an very roughly estimate imo is that 10% defence is aprox worth 2-3 def stats in PvP battles in PvE battles it would be worth more since you already got much higher defence | any formula of final damage with offense/defence talents including? | formulas can be found here ; https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=34
its not complicated, if you want to add talents, e.g. basic defence you multiply it by 0.9 (0.8 for advanced defence, 0.7 for expert defence). For offensive talents its 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3
fairly easy so you should be able to do it yourself, or i can do it for you if you give all the other unknowns, e.g. which enchants, which talents, which attack stat, which defence stat, which special abilities etc. | thanks sven for explain |
