Those links were helpfull. I didnt realize the cost of upgrading an estate was so high. Is the main reason people buy estates to hold extra artifacts?? Maybe for prestige of having an estate?? Other than that I cant understand why people would want to buy one. I did some simple guess work and calculating and it looks like it would take 10-15 years to collect enough rents to pay for an estate! Am I missing something here? Am I greatly underestimating the amount of money they bring in?? |
for GeraldTarrant:
No, you're absolutely right. Most people only buy estates for the artifact space/prestige of having an estate. |
Estates are a little more profitable than smithing, plus they serve as permanent 33% (or more ?) restore to the owner and artifact space. There will surely be people playing this game for 15 years, it's not too much, compared to smithing (which takes about 40 years if I'm correct to cover the losses). |

Even if you are in another location? |
no you need to be in the region off the estate |

No, that is too fast in the average case. If you buy a random estate, it will likely come rather far down in the list of estates and almost never get any guests. Only the top positions give any income at all.

you can if you owned everything in real life and looking for some way to spent your money.
another way to display a prideful sum of wealth instead of real use yes. but what use. but there are few guys always buying and reselling estate for huge profit, rather holding it permanently. |
