AuthorSharing hunts vs. solo hunts
Hi,

I've read in an older topic, that it doesn't make a difference depending raise of hunted creatures next time, if you share a hunt or do it solo.

In the very past you could do more hunts of a similiar creature if you shared it and so could get more fsp and doable hunts on the long run.

What's the situation at the moment?
Shared hunts ?
I hope you are referring to => Two guys, two creatures in one hunt

I know this is old, but I don't recall any announcement (atleast in .com) concerning any change in shared hunts.
I mean assists in hunt, so someone is assisting me. Sorry for confusion.

The increase is not 30% and the battles are not too old. I still think this holds.
by getting assist the owner of the hunt won't see a change in fsp and XP. the difficulty will increase based on how much he has killed, also he will gain fsp, xp according to how much he has killed (unless if he has killed less than a certain amount, 30% i think, but i'm not sure).
but, the guy doing the assist will receive fsp, xp without making any change to his own hunt difficulty.
so, in a nutshell, by asking for assistance you're helping the guy who's giving assistance, you're not helping yourself (not directly at least). but looking at the bigger picture, if no one asks for assistance no one will have the opportunity to assist!!!
i hope this clarifies things!
Assists work this way:

1) if you post for assist (i.e. host it) then you get the same amount of FPS and HGP, but both are limited to 0.5 (max 0.5 FSP and max 0.5 HGP)
For example, snovidica (russian letters censored in this forum, so changed the name) got 0.41 HGP and 0.41 FSP:
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=650929634

2) if you assist someone then max 0.5 FSP and always only 0.1 HGP (when you win of course)
For example, I was an assistant and I've got 0.5 FSP and 0.1 HGP there
(I've killed like 60% of creatures there, but didn't get more than 0.5 FSP)

3) if you kill more then you get more FSP, HGP and XP with the cap mentioned above

4) but XP is not limited, I mean if you kill 80% then you get 80% and your friend gets 20%, this is simplified rule because there are also other multipliers, for example if your total sum of FSP of all factions is greater than the average at your level then you get a bit increased XP
(I've killed like 60% of creatures there and I've got 609 XP, while snovidica got 378 XP)

5) It means that the best way for both (host and assistant) is to kill 50% of creatures (unless assistant kills nothing and can get 0 XP and 0.1 HGP, I never tested that, but if this works then I'm sure this would be reported quickly and bans would apply).

I think shared hunts work this way:

1) it's random, you can't control that, you can never be sure when shared hunt will happen

2) if it happens then both players get full +1 HGP (if they win of course) and the next hunt of the same creatures will not be increased in size

3) I'm not sure about FPS, I think it's capped at 1 FSP, but not sure if it depends on how much percent of creatures were killed
Sometimes I mistyped, instead of FPS should be FSP.
1) if you post for assist (i.e. host it) then you get the same amount of FPS and HGP, but both are limited to 0.5 (max 0.5 FSP and max 0.5 HGP)

You're mistaken! (unless if they've changed it in the past month!) the one asking for assist doesn't have any limitations on the amount of fsp/xp/hp received. he receives points based on the amount killed. the cap only applies to the one who gives assistance.

here is an example where i assisted someone but killed less than half, so the owner of the hunt received 0.68 hp/fsp.
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=637501030

so if someone gives assist but doesn't kill anything, the owner of the hunt can receive max fsp/xp/hp.

as i said, asking for assistance doesn't have any impact on the fsp/xp/hp of the owner of the hunt.
for gmt325gh:
Right, forgot that FSP is not limited to 0.5 when you host it (this rule was for years).
Also HGP.
Ok then, it looks like the best strategy for assistant is this:
1) try to kill less (nothing is the best)
2) make sure you still win

This is kinda silly though IMHO.

For the host it makes no difference how much he kills, I mean for ratio (FSP+HGP)/XP, the only benefit is that he will get less than 30% increase next time if assistant kills some (sometimes it's useful for hunt records)
