AuthorFacility Defense Battles Insanely Difficult!
Am I the only one who thinks whoever has been tweaking the Facility Defense Battles has made them insanely difficult?

I mean, come on, sometimes our team's armies are demolished even before they get to attack. :(

I have a really high Initiative, but the other side ALWAYS attacks first.

These Survilurg Battles are becoming more of an annoyance than fun when their armies are so large and attack first, no matter how we build our character. This is totally ridiculous.

Thanks admins, for ruining another aspect of the game! :(
I guess they are trying rely hard to take some facilities from the big clans and make them available for the lower ones ;)
I felt same yesterday when I fought 3 defense and lost all..
Are we a 'big clan' SirM0rphius? We have a few factories and mines in only two sectors. I hardly think that qualifies for making Facility Defense Battles insanely difficult.

Anyhow, the fun is spoiled when huge, powerful armies and heroes are pitted against Clan teams.

I'm sick of using up my Artifact Durability on these ridiculously overpowered battles.

The admins adjust difficulty as they please, this can change on a daily basis. It actually prevents defenses from being too repetitive. If you pay close attention to the level gap + teammates factions and builds you should always be able to pull something off.

Might players who just click-join and expect to win *deserve* to get slaughtered imo.
What a bunch of malarkey Derelict. When you are way outnumbered and overpowered, no amount of 'pulling something off' is going to change that.

Not sure when you think the increase occurred. But so far it seems like the clans are still holding on to their facilities fairly well.

The admin needs to find an balance to make them hard enough to ensure some rotation but also keep it realistic to hold them.

Well my disappointment is assuaged because my team and I won the last Facility Defense Battle. :)
The reason I can't take this all too seriously is because you lost 2 battles and you are extremely upset about the difficulty, suddenly you win 1 and there isn't a huge issue?

Looking back at your last Survilurg combats since the Christmas (25th Dec) you have managed to win 24 and lose 12. Is that something really worth complaining about?

Winning two thirds of your battles and complaining - I guess it is hard to please everyone ;)
Before the ratio was more like 90% though ;-). I also have the feeling it's getting a lot more difficult. Sometimes you get a very big loss, while everyone wears at least one 5*10 enchant. And it's not just bad combination of playerfactions or enemyfactions, the enemy just has a lot more hp than it used to have.

Well, I don't really mind that much, but it's strange that after 4 losses in a row the difficulty hasn't gone down (much).
Corey pretty much summed it up when he said that you lost 2 battles and you are extremely upset about the difficulty. Where's the fun in winning 100% braindead battles against mediocre AI bots ?

I'll still take some time to answer that, based on the 2 defeats you faced.

1. General comments
- You rely completely on morale + luck talents, instead of steady damage or defense. This makes you very squishy and your damage output is unreliable.
- You only equip one medium-enchanted art. Do yourself and your team a favor, and get more.
- Your choice of favored enemies is debatable. Why not wipe the strong resilient melee stacks ?
- I didn't see mistakes from you, so that's rather good actually

2. Battle 1
Good lineup, good level gap, and 2% defeat. That's not what I'd call "insanely difficult", and you can be proud ofthat nicely conducted battle.

3. Battle 2
Your lineup is horrendous and there's a 3 level gap. Granted, you were facing a hard combo, but you seriously had it coming.

That "malarkey" was free, by the way, no need to pay me or thank me.
Get 3 Crafts. If all three team mates have at least 3 crafts, you'll cut through the battles easy.

It's not the difficulty that you should talk of, rather ask your team members to spend some gold on arts. After all these are battles where almost 50%-80% gold is refunded for a win.
I once defeated a Might Wizard. What an occasion! TV news covered the story throughout the day, my friends and family flew in from all over the globe, we all got together, and we cried and hugged. What a feeling! One day I'll have that on my tombstone: "This guy once defeated a Might Wizzie. Awesome!"

I wasn't talking about our clan Lady. I was just saying that admins try to make it so that the 20+ facility clans will lose a part of them. They can't start a clan war until a large % of clans own facilities ;)
lol, you have never played in a MC controlling 16 or 12 facilities
just try it and you'll see your mobs are kindergarden children

Offense Knight with 88 Wild Grifs, 500+ Wardens + More
Offense Demon with 40+ Nightmares, 9 Demons + More

Yet a loss with 3%.
