I doubt it means anything. The ship was moved around to the bottom of the Island when the Pirates attack. My guess is that they will probably move it back when they build the jail on the island. That way they can just do one map update, rather than two.

It is just below East Island. It used to be above East Island - If you zoom into the map you can see it a little better.
