| When you use paypal you need to have a paypal account. You will not be writing checks or anything of the sort. When you make your paypal account, you will be either linking a bank account or a card to the account. I haven't bought diamonds before but as in all other pay pal payments, you will just sign in with your account and confirm purchase and that would be it. The other details will be automatic. |

I think he's referring to checks. When you write a check you have to write who the recipient is and that wold be the "to whom is the payment to be made". |
