It's not easy against elfs, but you can try to put your minos more in the middle to get a better situation against forest keeper. Trying to beat the archers is good aswell.

first be dark elf 3 then i think you have to way of playing:
-be quick, max attack and rogues then minos
-be defensive, spell and knowledge with max minos then rogues and use spell to kill the elf bowmen |

not gonna work before lev 5.
try to be quick, max attack and rogues then minos
more precisely, split rogues as much as possible and move forward to block bows. distract fk with minos, backed up by rogues. pretty doable. |
