Well, its wierd question, but it just stuck all of a sudden in my mind.
I can understand a dune of yellow sulphur.
Pile of wood, some ores,gems,crystal together.
But, the image of mercury is wierd!
Is that a pot, surrounded with (stones?) and a white/grey liquid inside? |

Just look at any old thermometer or some barometers.
Only problem is it is highly carcegenic. When I was at school our physics teacher brought out a big stone (must be a reason stone is often used) bowl full of it and we each put our hand in. It is an extremely strange sensation!
We then spent ages firing it across the work-tables using plastic syringes. Was an excellent lesson. |

brilliant! shame health and safety wont allow this any more. the most i did in science was put the first 3 alkali metals in water :D |
