No one can have a hands on approach as much as Arctic and the fact is, he's temporarily (I prefer this word) away and one way or another .com community has learn to cope with it already. Sure about 90% of the time we don't get any announcements or even if we do, it's usually late but by now, pretty much everyone should know the place to go is GGF.
Btw Lesena previously translated announcements on the Official Annoucement page or GGF (can't remember which) but if I'm not mistaken, it was admin themselves who said such translations are no longer neccessary and hence she stop translating official announcement news. But anyways there are always some friendly .ru players who attempt to help and assist, the latest I think Beliar translated and posted it in GGF during the last (or last 2 events).
Regardless of what everyone's opinion is, be it .com has worse FSP ratio, etc, simple truth is LWM needed the merge for the various reasons already posted. | now there is _L_e-_S__en_a__, but she is not such good community manager like Arctic, sorry but it is true, she tried it when she wanted to get a job as translator, but now she doesn't care about us.
I think that it is less that she doesn't care and more that the administration have made a decision to stop providing us with translations for some unknown reason. Lesena provided the translations, they weren't being posted. Beliar and the translation clan that was set up provided translations, they too ended up not being posted. Hard to compare Arctic with Lesena as they were performing two different functions for the server. At the end of the day, the lack of translations appears to be out of the control of players. |
