Thieves Guild army reduction.

AuthorThieves Guild army reduction.
*Noob Question alert*

Will I get any reduction on my theives guild AI if I get less than 0.2 SP on loss?

Thank You.
I don't think anyone can give a definitive answer here. It was always the popular belief that 0.3 was the bare minimum to get a reduction in it's difficulty but past forum posts have primarily contradictory views, some saying it's mere myth whereas others going with the 0.3 FSP reasoning..
What I know is that you will get reduction in enemy troops but it will be so much minor to be noticed until you loose a lot of battles with 0.2 fsp.

Q.5.30: What's the mechanics behind caravan strength drop after a loss?
A.: The strength of all caravans is dampened, regardless of the type of caravan that you were defeated by. The caravans' strength increases in the same way. The more faction skill points you gain after a defeat in an ambush, the greater the drop effect will be.
"0.3 was the bare minimum to get a reduction" it's mere myth

Arctic confirmed this (remember he had access to the code)
for KnightofDusk:
He wasn't really asking for that lol...

for Lord Syrian:
I see, so it's confirmed that it's ok to get below 0.3 right? Did he say anything about the minimum difficulty barrier? Like the easiest it possibly can get.

0.3 is the minimum, you don't get reduction below that.

Can someone drag Arctic back to confirm? :D
for Calamity:
But Syrian just said Arctic confirmed that's just a myth.

Sorry above post was by multi.
So this means that any battle lost below 0.3 FSP will forever remain undefeatable. For instance those Might Shrew battles where one gets KO'd in the first turn with 4-5 150 stacked shrews.

If this is indeed the mechanic, then that's really bad.
I remember beating the Might DE by playing Might DE myself back on .com
It takes a very specific placing of the stacks so that you lure them out. Perhaps the improved AI makes it impossible now.
Still, with heavy shooters or Chaos you will definitely get more than 0.3 fsp on this one.

you can lose to other caravans on purpose to decrease overall caravan diffcutly to face less shrews
Well as an elf I tried to stay back and shoot, which went miserably, but now I go full frontal attack and it works out fine, many times efk go before shrews, and even if they don't I manage to do decent.
My problem is I've player throughout with enchants so the difficulty levels are considerably high. I now want to bring it down, but usually when I play with min arts to lose, I lose by a very huge margin getting just 0.1 or 0.15 FSP.

So I'm confused on how to go about with TG now.

Mid to full arts maybe?
Yea that's the problem with using enchants, so either use Mid to full arts maybe? as Meshy said, or maybe one cheap enchant weapon and try to just lose so you get high fsp.
for AKA:
I faced the same thing a while back, and I managed to bring it down by simply using min ap. Best is if you use mid-full ap and then keep losing on purpose until you think it gets doable with min ap.
Or do double TGs to get more FSP and reduce your difficulty faster
Also a quick question, is there a cap to this difficulty increase?
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
