What do people exactly mean with "pumped character"?

AuthorWhat do people exactly mean with "pumped character"?
Reading from other posts, it seems related to the fact that the exp that you get from a combat keep rising w.r.t. the expected value; e.g. in hunts it should be 70*combat level while after a while (some time? some numbers of fights within the same level? No clues...) it is slightly increasing.

Can anybody explain the rule here?

Thanks in advance
When you have more than average fsp for a combat level, you start to get more experience than normal until you get back to the average range by leveling up sooner. That is what a pumped character means.
If you want to see if you or another character is pumped, you need a script.

You find scripts here: http://angelsndemons.freeforums.org/19-scripts-approved-lwm-scripts-t96.html

Btw: Your character has already reached the amount of average faction skill points of your combat level. "Pumped character! Additional exp: 5.4%"
Alternatively, to know how pumped you are, use this page:
http://stats.ordenmira.ru/progress.php

It's in Russian, but all you need to do is enter your nickname (or your ID) and you'll see your stats.

The key stat is in line number 5 (I can't paste it here because of English forum rules).

If you're 'overpumped', on the right-hand side of that line you'll see a percentage with a plus sign, for example "+46.9%". That shows how much extra XP you get in each and every fight. This 'penalty' will reset as soon you reach the next combat level. If you don't see a percentage with a plus sign, that means there's currently no penalty :)
i did not know old .com char like me get extra 9.3% extra xp..its a hoax
There is a discrepency between the values of "pumpedness" between the website and the script - not sure who is using the accurate data. The website gives some 6% higher than the script does for me.

Eminently work out able I guess, just don;t have the inclination to do so, but thought i would mention it incase someone else does!
That's interesting. I have a personal policy not to install or use any scripts so I can't test it on my end. On the page I cited, did you look at the absolute skill point progress percentage on the left (greater than 100) or the +% extra XP earned on the right?

For your character, I get these two stats:

Skill point progress: 149.57%
Extra XP: +30.2%
Script from Angels and Demons forum gives me as 24.4% pumped, whereas as you say this is giving 30.2.

I did a campaign battle and got 2865 experience. I guess we could work out whih is the correct value from that, though I do not know what a "normal" campaign battle should give for exp. I Think I may go and peruse some combat logs and find out
Whoops forgot that I cannot see anyones campaign battle logs so better find out some other way.

Pretty much everyone gets pumped in the later part of their combat level.

Plus since merge in 2012, we have been receiving lower experience to bring our fsp to the overall average with respect to combat level. It can be called significant if you are able to remain pumped at the earlier part of your combat level.
There's a significant amount of evidence pointing out that the script could be outdated (judging by posts). Especially with all the new fights introduced recently and associated exp/fsp.

Still, it gives you a good indication of character development :o)
A few months ago, when I was on CL 13, I recorded how much XP I gained in several dozen TG fights which have more or less 'standard' fsp gains. Before each TG fight, I also recorded my +'Extra XP'% number from the page I cited above. I statistically analyzed these data and got a correlation coefficient of about 0.9 (1.0 being perfect 1 to 1 correlation). This means we all definitely get penalized for being overpumped. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean the % number is very accurate. It could be 6% less or 10% more and we wouldn't really know the difference.
for SirReal:
Try with a yellow hunt or green hunt with against large numbers. When you win you can tell how much extra you are getting accurately.
Ok just did a hunt(119 hell horses) https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=772035787

The experience was meant to be 3284 (accoridng to one of the scripts that gives this info), yet I received 4310 exp.

This is an increase of ((4310-3284/(3284))x100 which is 31.2%, Therefore the script is predicting low by about 7%(ie using a higher average FSP than reality) while the website SirReal quoted http://stats.ordenmira.ru/progress.php seems more accurate (though perhaps also 1% down).

This is of course based on the assumption that the experience the hunter script predicted is correct, which may also be out of date, though I would anticipate not being.

Furthermore since the "pumping" is based on average faction levels for each combat level, it may differ by a greater or lesser extent on different combat levels, so this could only be accurate for CL14.
Yes the best way to confirm which is the better method would be to take a hunt that gives max exp for your level amd see how much you are given over and above that exp.

Or even min exp :D In general any exp is fine as long as you know what exp you should have received without pump... I think there was an A&D page that gave exp/unit hunted of all creatures.

Yeah lets use an A&D page so reliable that it can prove other things on A&D page unreliable lol.
