AuthorMorale and luck
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=2456969

Slust: Battlefury increase the damage of all of your troops but ogres by about 25% to 66%. It's a must at your level. Luck is no more than a (randomized) 10% damage increase on average.

why luck give 10 picent more damage? i get 3 luck and double damage alot
3 Morale happen alot, but i no understand why morale better sometime, feel like luck always better
why luck give 10 picent more damage?

The chance of luck is about 10% per point of luck (I heard the max was 5, thought not 100% sure)

So if chance = 0.1
Luck = 100% damage
0.1*100 = 10

So average damage is increased by 10% per point of luck
So if chance = 0.1
Luck = 100% damage
0.1*100 = 10

So average damage is increased by 10% per point of luck

Not a good idea to calculate luck damage like that.
How do you calculate?

Post 2 is correct about the maximum working value is 5.

To determinate if luck or morale is better it all depends on which faction you're going to play, which level you're and what unit is your primary or most important from your army.

Take a low/mid level knight, they're heavly dependant on swordmens/guardians, they need to put those units toward to take the front lines while his most dps units will support those, or in GB battles to aid the allies. In order to make those units act fast, it will be required a high morale pool or divine guidance which only be unlocked later on.
Another thing is, say a 1 stack take the swormens retalation, now he'll be a very easy prey for all the oposite team units to do a heavy strike/casualities on them, so to turn this unit more competitive it's required to make sure it will act often, it would be even worse if it retaliate with luck on that said 1 stack.

Same concept applies to factions which would benefit 'indirectly' from acting more often, such the tribals for instance, because the more hits they do, the more spirit they'll farm, which will both increase their offensive and defensive capabilities. However they can sustain a very good morale without needing talents/artefacts, due tribal supremacy.

Also morale is general better than luck against defensive chaos builds, since it helps to connect the entire army on the enemy asap, before he kills the entire stack without taking action. And finnaly morale helps to improve the odds of triggering luck, since the more often you act, the higher your chances of triggering it.

Luck however is a more plain and simple, it works fine on every single unit, some are better than others of course, but all does benefit a lot from it.
Generally speaking I often try to make any might faction have at least 1 luck.
And yes, for certain factions luck is superior than morale, I'll name one such elvens, but that doesn't means they couldn't use both, because like I said, one complement the other.
Ok i see, it different siuation depend on, thank you all very much
