3.13.6. Additional characters are not allowed to purchase insignia, rare set artifacts and Thief Guild Invitations (TGI) from other characters.
I see Sword of cold (or Flame dagger, Clover of fortune etc.) is neither an insignia nor a rare set artifact. Does this mean that additional chars are allowed to buy it at decent market price (as long as it is not enchanted)? |
| It's mentioned in .ru rules that arts with 'This artifact is equivalent to shop artifacts.' line should be considered rares. So no, additional characters can't buy sword of cold and other items like it. |

Hope that .com has properly updated rules so that it won't cause trouble if somebody broke the rule simply because .com server doesn't have the saying. |

That rule is written there on our server too, it is just slightly ambiguous. Probably down to the translation of it.
If you read Rule 3.13.6 in full:
3.13.6. Additional characters are not allowed to purchase insignia, rare set artifacts and Thief Guild Invitations (TGI) from other characters.
Additional characters may only enter the Thieves' Guild using diamonds, TGIs may not be bought by them.
Additional characters may set an auction for 3 days with initial price of 1 gold and no buyout price to sell any of the following:
• rare artifacts (artifacts not listed in the shop and not obtainable in hunt);
• artifacts whose description contains "This artifact is equivalent to shop artifacts";
• TGIs obtained through reaching TG level 5;
• Thief, Plunderer, Ranger, and Tactician sets artifacts obtained through leveling in respective guilds;
• event artifacts massively obtained by most participants.
Such an auction is the only acceptable way for additional characters to trade any of the above listed items.
Two lines there are of importance:
1. Artifacts whose description contains "This artifact is equivalent to shop artifacts"
2. Such an auction is the only acceptable way for additional characters to trade any of the above listed items
So it is not allowed for additionals to trade them by any means other than selling them through the 1 gold initial price, 3 day auction. Which means no purchasing from other players. |
