is there a way to donate in a favor of a friend?
for his account
a friend of mine would like to donate, but has no means of.
is it possible for me to donate on his account, so he gets BoL
and he will later refund me directly on my real life bank account
we are from same country, so it is not a problem
is it possible?
is it allowed?
we do not want problems |
As far as I know:
NO
NO |

I guess it is possible if you meet him in person and pay by logging into his account. I won't say it is safe at all so don't do it unless you really trust him.
Best is if he can ask any other friend of his for the card, then you two won't have the same card. |
i trust him, that is not an issue.
we were discussing that option of logging onto his computer, problem is he is cca 200 km away in other city.
i was even thinking about logging onto his account, and donate there
you think we would get penalties?
i mean it is obvious from our records we are not multiaccounts |
Won't be so obvious when Keepers see a leap of over 220 km in matter of minutes.
I don't think you should take that risk and jeopardize your account.
Which country do you live in? I am sure if he has a credit/debit card, he can pay via PayPal. |
Don't do it, sharing account/passwords is a reason for block.
It doesn't matter if your intentions are good and that you don't actually sharing accounts but if you do it this will be the description of the penalty/block.
Can't he get a prepay card? |
There is a rule that, in essence, covers what you are asking, although not exactly. You would be donating, but not in exchange for any in game valuables. However, I would suggest to err on the side of caution and avoid it.
3.6.1. Donating on other players' behalf for them to get diamonds in exchange for their in-game values is illegal and will be prosecuted as violation of 3.6.
Logging in to another player's account etc. is completely inadvisable and you will risk blocking of both accounts.
My suggestion is that you donate the 35 diamonds on your account yourself and purchase him a bow of light as a gift if you are feeling charitable. That way you get to help out the game, get some chests of abundance for yourself and still gift your friend a bow of light from the market, which costs less (72k) than the 35 diamond minimum donation. |

Unless his country is under capital controls, where all this transactions are forbidden. If that's the case there's nothing he can do about it. |

A quick look at his profile says he's from Croatia, and there is Paypal in Croatia.
So from what I can tell, his friend should be able to log into his paypal and purchase diamonds that way. |
Greece also have paypal but due to capital controls you are not allowed to do such buys.
I believe it's an unnecessary risk to take, if it's about the BoL then what Corey said is the best solution.
In any other case I think you better contact the Dealer. |
Such buys being not sharing PayPal account? |
No, you are not allowed to buy any kind of game services and in general to buy most things if not a in country transaction.
In simple words you can't donate from Greece no matter what. |

My suggestion is that you donate the 40 diamonds so you get 4 chests :D |
i did donate already, thats why i cant donate again and give him bow
nevermind, thanks for help everyone |
#12 you can donate from greece without any problem via paypal |

If he has any other friend who can pay for him then it should be fine. With your card number it is very risky. |
