It doesn't happen and there is no bug. I can understand your confusion however.
In Mercenaries Quests against monsters - The damage from magic punch is reduced by 80%. This is NOT as a result of the magic resistance that the monsters have. As correctly stated earlier by Virtual, magic punch ignores magic resistances.
The reason that there is an 80% reduction in damage dealt in MG monster quests is due to the ability: "Organic Armor". Organic Armor makes the monster immune to all effects that decrease defense of the creature. In addition to this, the Organic Armor ability reduces the damage of magic punch by 80%.
So the reason there is an 80% reduction in damage from Magic Punch is due to this ability, not the magic resistance. The reason why it is confusing is because the Monster Card on .Com has not been updated to show the new abilities; Perseverence and Organic Armor. These abilities are displayed on the Russian equivalent, just not in English - So it is easy to overlook them.
In summary; magic resistances do not reduce the damage of magic punch, however the Organic Armor ability will. |
