As the title suggests coz right now its just a blind jump
I need this real bad..

then what strategy and chance the game would be left with ?
i think the whole damage calculator thing is not needed to change the game to pure instinct and guts ... there were creatures feared once due to their unkown damage but now it's very obvious..
just my thought though ) i'm an old timer and have played this game from like 08-09 and it was much more adventurous back then

I honestly think Admins need to make a big decision regarding Calculators, "Reminders", and this kind of stuff Tbh:

For instance, we can see the normal damage monster A could make to monster B, but we can see the Calculator get bugged when it comes to Fortification, Lizard Charge, Jousting... Showing wrong Damages (Example: Teleporter ignores Fortification, but it does not show so in the Hint/Tip).
And then they dont show it at all when it comes to Leap of Fiends, for instance.
Or they dont remind us if the enemy has Retal, like in HoMM V.

Honestly, I'd say:
1) Remove ALL Damage Calculator things and anything of the like, so that the game becomes WAY WAY WAY more adventurous, and "Experienced" players are more rewarded from knowing the game more.
More strategy and chance, as Dragon Ball Prince Boy says.
2) Remove the adventurous and show EVERYTHING.
And by "Everything" I mean even a Reminder that says "Retal: No", or "Rune: Already used", so it reminds you if the opponent has Retal left or it was already taken away, same for Runes.
PS: Maybe show aswell how many turns would Blind (Darkness Lv 4) and Possesion (Demon girls) last, to avoid DDs casting it randomly without knowing how would it last.

But not show some things and hide others like now, its confusing...

I dont see how something showing the retal:Y/N would be a problem.

As I said, show everything (Retals), or do not show anything (Damage Range, like now).
At first when they added the damage calculator and the lorekeepers through shot line, I thought they were taking away strategy indeed. I knew who would kill easily what and what was a pretty bad moved and I lured the ennemy into doing it. It's not that I was more clever, just that I had LEARNED what is a good and bad move. So now I came to accept that, because a good plaer should not need to learn what will be or will not be a good move, that's not what defines a clever man. On the other hand it makes the learning curve smoother for people ot get into pvp, and we surely need fresh blood in pvp so I'd almost say it's a good thing in the end.

+ for post 6. Besides retail/rune/blind/possession should be added incorporeal hit/miss history of last 2 turns. So I agree it should show everything or nothing.

Yes, i think the point is we're getting towards that. The everything.
experienced and good player doesnt defined by how they can calculate quickly the damage and know how many unit will it kills, instead by how their judgement whether the attack and kills worth it.

cmon, the damage calculator help to calculate in 30 sec of turn so the rest of the time can used to think when and who to attack, move, or use ability.

sarcasm : you can also remove initiative bar so the "experienced" player can calculate it and get rewarded by their "skill"
