Do they take the actual skill out of hunts?
Don't get me wrong, I am all about financially keeping this game alive...even though members of my own clan and every self-righteous LWM player spat on me for simply suggesting to add 3 or 4 unicorns at level 8....
What happened to the days of actual skill in these situations.
This is why I am thankful for the Commanders Guild, as enchanted weapons are banned. Still...hunts are allowing people to simply buy Great Hunter sets to breeze through actually challenging hunts, so they can be the favorite teachers pets of the game because they donate(BUT, I specifically stated...this is good...though for actual credibility of skill? Another matter)
I believe the skill of the game is degraded somehow...but how could you resolve this? Beats, me. I just feel as an actual record holder of a best hunt result that didn't use Diamonds to do it that the actual integrity of how good you are is undermined by the countless hordes of people who ironically help the game out, but at the same time destroy the competitiveness of the whole spirit.
Just my thoughts. I am the infamous "Unicorn Poster" for all those who wonder. Still proud of it. Mr. Battle Control...you and me are not compatible since you sided with the judgment of one you "always" side with...without actually taking in the facts of a given situation...
Given situation being the implantation of having just 3-4 more Unicorns at level 8. At least to make the number a perfect "10" instead of a 8. BIG DEAL. Get at me. |
Great hunter set is expensive? xD
Wait till you get a bit higher in terms of CL, every hunt record is done with enchanted BB set, last time I checked it was 20k or more per battle.
What's this unicorn thing you are talking about btw?
Anyway, back to the original post, just face it that pretty much all events and tournaments heavily favour donors. I don't care though, not coming first place doesn't take away that much from the game.
Try ST if you want btw, it is almost completely skill based(still you need full arts). It's free this time to join and high rewards, try it :) |
| You can buy the GH set for around 8000, and it is good for 10 battles. That's only 800 a battle, which is worth it to get your name on the boards. Happy Hunting! |
| Sadly, the game would not be able to continue without donations. I'm with you on the whole one sidedness towards donators. The best we can do is just enjoy the game. |
nobody uses diamonds for hunts...
especially at your level...
when you get to higher levels then maybe you can argue that donors can afford to splurge on fully enchanted bb sets for a useless record...
other then that please don't suggest that you need to exchange diamonds in order to be able to afford a GH set...
and oh yeah bout that unicorn post, come on mate...
you are looking at things at a rather narrow viewpoint...
being a primarily pve player like myself you only do hunts and a very limited number of mg as well as gb/cg...
you don't do enough battles to understand the complexity of balancing which was why more then half of the people were trying to advise you to do 2 things
1. buck up your guilds
2. change to another faction
both of which you did not seem too keen on listening too...
in the end the choice is yours but i daresay the advice will remain the same... |

There will be a point in HG where the hunts are so difficult that even if you wear a ton of enchants it will still be hard to beat if you have no actual skill. If you truly believe that you are a skilled player, reach that point and beat the records.
As for skill, yes it is true that skill and tactics in combat is important, but a truly skilled player will have the knowledge of how to properly build and progress a character to gain an advantage over other players. Prepare for the shock of your life when you reach level 9 and gets trash canned by skilled players in CG |

THAT is exactly what I am looking for, REAL skilled players who know how to battle without extra amenities to help them do what they couldn't do without.
Trust me, I am looking forward to testing my mettle against real players who dedicate years to this game. Who I have the utmost respect for as I KNOW the difficulties in this game...Thank you for your hard earned knowledge and respect in your post to me. It ACTUALLY means something...other than the latter nimwits who just try and say you know nothing. With over 800 wins and less than 200 losses, PLENTY of which have been against actual players, I am bloodthirsty to get my real skill recognized in the arena of combat. My only regret is that I am not already CL 14,15,16 to beat the heads in of these posters who think they are God almighty against me. Lord Forgive them for they know not what they do....

I have some original OP's about whether or not the game should have actually added about 3-4 Unicorns at level 8 which anbody CL 11 or higher gives 2 shiny FAT PIDDLES about(excuse me they restrict me from actually cursing with justice and righteous fury on here) and so they downgrade, condescend, imperiously postulate and just downright have no empathy to since they so long ago left such levels and have simply 'forgotten' what it means to be a lower level on here. So they think they are parents, god, jesus, messiahs, pariahs, the whole shebang....
Get real and understand that a professor of quantum physics who lectures on quantum entanglement may become exasperated at teaching the same material and answering the SAME questions over and over again because they KNOW so much...they forget what it means to be a novice. GRAVE GRAVE mistake as that those same novices may become greater than you one day you imperious bastions.

Read it ALL the way through to get the proper perspective as some others just do not get but seek to pass judgment on what I am saying which I am roundly sure is just the same as NOT reading an entire book BUT then saying WHAT and HOW it should be. Absolutely frivolous and outstandingly bull-headed out of this world. How can you judge a book without reading it all the way through?
Anyone who thinks they have that much intelligence don't even bother posting here, because obviously you are affected by Delusions of Grandeur. It is very simple. Read the book, THEN post about it.

BTW, I had supporters throughout this game that gave me the benefit of the doubt that my posts about Unicorns were actually valid points, so don't act as if I am just a rabid lone wolf shooting people here...because people here in LWM actually agreed with me about these sensitive issues. It just goes to show that I am not just talking out of my head, and if you don't think so.

From the wisdom of those that posted to me, whether they were being insulting or not...
I TOOK THEIR ADVICE.
Because I am not a biased, uncompromising miser.
They told me...
"You have no guild development."
SO, I started guild development, to say I had guild delved before would have been outright lies. I had 'none.'
So I listened, and started my guilds up. It is in the embryonic stage so please, just bugger off if you see it's low 'right now.' That will change soon.
"ALSO," they told me...insulters or not, that I had no MC development.
PROMPTLY, I have initiated MORE Mercenary Guild development posthaste.
Before the infamous Unicorn posts, I had about 15 fights into the MG...now I have over over 30 fights in it. Well on my way to the first MG guild level.
I will not stop until about MG 3 for right now. I now understand the importance of it.
To be quite frank though...
HOW MANY CL 8's that JUST turned CL 8 have over 40 fights in MG?
Can you answer me that, and if you can...what is the average MG development, OR FLS development of CL 7's? Are most at least level 3?
Which is in fact the highest you can in most probable cases GET TO...before CL 9?
So to impune me for having that underdeveloped or unsubstantial would be the equivalent of criticizing an 8yr. old boy for not having over 30 fights in elementary school would it not>>>???
You insulters out there need to seriously step down off your steeds because obviously you are reasoning from Cl "where you are" instead of "where I am."
Just saying...I am not stupid and I appreciate all those posters who obviously think I am for some odd reason...or think I do not understand or grasp the complexities of the game. I do not feign understanding of high levels but I do know where most of the people where "I" am situated in level are at.
