Full attack, max Rogues. Split them to make it harder to kill all with shooters, and try to block bows. Push minos forward to lure Forest keepers/Sprites, kill them with Rogues/Liz (they die pretty fast).
Keep in mind that DE vs Elf can easily go either way, and be decided by morale triggers. The player with the best setup and strategy will obviously win more often in the long run, so master it and you'll get better results. |

In by the time rogues get 2nd turn most of them are dead by lightning and shots, what to do in this case? |
Setup Minos and Liz so you can charge forward quickly.
If you're facing Elf with max Bows and Druids a lot, consider taking 3 Spell Power and 2 Knowledge, this way you can cast Earthen spikes 4 times, each time doing 20 dmg per tile (takes out 2 bows per use). |

Just to add: if you can cast Earthen spikes, Elf will either setup his stacks far apart (thus making way for minos and liz, and you get to cast Magic arrow for 48 damage, so no waste for you), or keep them together and take loads of damage, and you can even defend with liz and minos in first turn to decrease ranged damage from Bows. |

| At your level, might DE can't match Elf with max Bows and Druids, unless you're really lucky with morale triggers. The above suggestion is a hybrid build, not full mage. |
| lol even a mage de is not very good against elf at level 5 if both have same ap. Need way more ap to fight elf if elf is somewhat capable. At some point maybe DE mage gets the upper hand but i don't see it winning in 1v1 in equal ap unless elf was really unlucky. |
you should accept the fact that a certain faction good versus another certain faction at certain combat level.
CL 5 DE vs elf? with similar ap, guild level, and wit of the player then the odd is only 1:4 DE will win. |
