No way to kill that FB at all.
+ Gotta pay attention to the 115 Unicorns, and possible Root from Tree, and Knock from Sharps.
I have to admit I was using very very cheap Arts, but the Unlimited Retal from Fb is a bit silly.
Even without the Unlimited Retal, it'd be quite Tough, Imo.
Possible Tactics/Strategy?
I think its something more about "Having a plan", than "Build/Arts" here.
Thx in advance! | I would switch 2x fortune to 3x sorcery talent, that's a fight where your units die fast so they must raise fast
And put some (maybe 5 or so?) points to SP so that you can raise a full stack each time (those nasty elves one-hit just about everyone).
Now you spent 2 rounds in raising the dreadlords, with 3x sorcery and a few more SP you could have risen 3 stacks in the same time ;)
Also don't forget to watch out for the crystal breath :p
Last smaller thing is that ghosts are better for taking retal than skeles, and skele should protect the ballista if anything since you can't raise it (and 1 skele is as good as 10) | I would suggest to do boss fights as classic necro with darkness magic + phantoms. U can find some bosses in my combat log, this way I almost always get 3 starrs without any problems. I use classic necro against bosses, pirates and hunts format (although usually I try to avoid hunt format wg battles as sometimes there are ridiculous numbers of units, see my last anglerfish one from last days) | every wg quest is some quest that done by some people with the same level and same faction(alt) as you, so it must be winnable. and besides, the stats for nowadays is far better than the past since those growing artifacts and new guilds, so in general quests are far easier than before.
for Ipsen:
two solutions:
1. wear more, win by steady power.
2. take soldier's luck, pray for a legalize on the boss.
overall: use maga single ghosts to block unicorns when you are focusing the boss (you may lost most of troops due to infinite retal, but after the death of boss there are no difficulty remained).
for Nowar:
hunting records for classic necro may be quite crazy since the great potential of hunting power for necro. for example, in the anglerfish hunting it is not hard if you use delay+wasp to separate the atb of two stacks of fish, then vampire(and its phantom) can hit them safely while they can only hit mega single ghosts, thus if you have plenty mana to raise ghost and keep delay debuff, it would be easily done regardless of the ridiculous hp. | To add to this, I think with necro top hunts they tend to deliberately not recruit certain creatures to give more stacks of split appas to raise and block (you probably wouldnt have know you needed to do that for this as would not have known the crazy numbers till you started and hindsight is a wonderful thing). That way probably allowing skelly bows to get many in range hits. That being said if I was in your position I would just skip it using Abu-Bakr anyway. | Keep the skellies near the balista (Shield allies), it would have reduced the damage (183) giving you at least one shot with it.
Attacking the dragon didn't add mach. | for Lord MilesTeg & RevolutionRebel:
You both are right :) As RR wrote, that anglerfish battle is winnable, but exactly as MilesTeg wrote, it doesn't worth it to give so much effort to such battel for me and I rather skiped it and changed with ABC ;)
By the way sometimes errands (expecially hunt types) are very close to be almost unwinable (with 3*) or need you to perform some very lucky hits. I am not sure about it butž WG probably works very similar to AG - if player A win certain WG battle and gets 3*, player B who gets exactly the same errand (the same setup of troops) can have slightly higher numbers... And if player B can't get 3*, numbers could be slightly lower again. This is only what I think it could work like. When I was CL14, I did certain WG errand and won it (got 3*). Next day I got exactly the same one, even settlement of the troops was the same, but numbers were slightly higher. I think it was 1-3%, can't remember | Hunts are particularly hard for WG as the records were set competitively, so as one got won, someone else would bump it up, therefore while some are easy there will be one that noone beat. Furthermore you do not know the numbers beforehand in WG, but when the record was set the numbers were known. Consequently if a specific recruitment set is needed because of extereme numbers, you will not know in advance. On the otherhand when the record was set the only decent dagger was the flame dagger, which often will not have been used. As a result for many of these WG hunts, the equipping of a dagger will help radically.
Incidently the inverse situation occurs with crypt based WG missions. When those records were set you did not know who you would face so could not tailor your build to your opponent. In WG you can, I have a very different recruit and talent setup to face dragons, compared to elementals, compared to magi or trees and waspworts. By consequence these battles are often very easy in minimal allowed AP | I skip the hunt ones on WG, the huge amounts of troops I face as a lvl 16 darkelf is double that of what another faction at even lvl 19 faces, sometimes even triple. So the admin can keep those biased hunt quests. For the rest of the WG quests I do play in highest set and most of the time net 3 stars. Now and then I do face an impossible one and leave that undone as well. I still do not believe that every quest is doable since there is no evidence to back this up and the quests also keep getting harder so the line of too hard gets crossed now and then. | Very very complete explanations, thx seriously.
Will take into account the several suggestions for next Bosses! | closed by Ipsen (2017-11-03 17:28:01) |
