To start off, obviously this is one of the only games you will find where experience is actually a bad thing. Have too much of it per fsp and you have more or less no chance at succeeding in tournaments, CG, etc.

On that note, why are group battles and duels so heavily discouraged? I understand that we have CG, but it is not to everyone's taste. Some people might want to have enchanted battles, some might want to have min arts battle, or some might just want to duel with a friend or something. So why is the fsp/exp so low in them, which makes them not even playable?

Also, what's wrong with hunts and difficult mg? It might not be to everyone's liking, but many people enjoy doing difficult hunts or mg, yet they give perhaps the worst fsp/exp ratio in the game. I just don't get it, nowadays to have even a somewhat competitive character, you are forced to only do cg and wg. One of the biggest problems in this game is the lack of variety, so why are they making it even worse by discouraging these battles?
indeed, it is quite senseless to make almost all events and tournaments sorted by combat level, which make the exp a bad thing.
i still remember the old .com days when everyone is struggling to make more exp, cuz high level is an honor then rather than a shame nowadays.
Very True.

Especially players who compete for Hunt & MG rankings have practically no incentive of doing so except for a shiny badge on their profile. No Effort Reward balancing.

I do only WG and hunts so is this leading me to weak character ??
WG generally has one of the best ratios. Hunts ratio is variable - early on the ratio is good- constant 1FSP but low exp due to low numbers of enemies. Later on the ratio becomes poor.
I play hunts with weak faction of mine...

hunts are a funny one when you think about balance.

The benefit of HG with attack early on is significant - so reallistically an absolute must

If you take the long view eventually you will end up doing the hunt, at which point you will get the same exp and FSP -

What matters is whether it will affect your character now much or not.

Doing them earlier may mean that you level quicker (at least for higher levels this is true where the exp gained is significant) which may mean you have levelled less other guilds by this time. Equally you will be closer to the next HG level and so get more stats from that.

With max hunts there is a cap of 500XCL - this means that doing a max hunt a levek earlier means you will get 500 les exp than if you waited till next level to do it.

Personally I would not worry too much of the balance of a hunt - my rule of thumb is that if I can beat it in min arts and I have the time, I will do it, if not I will wait till I can irrespective of the exp I will gain.

WEll CG and WG require full arts.......other battles may not require full arts. Thus cost per battle increases which means that you have to spend more gold on arts. Thus either enroll and earn money, or donate.
That is why in almost all games, the strategy is to make the players spend most of the ingame resources which may make them ultimately buy resources with money to either survive or dominate the game.
Its the basic concept on which all games are based upon

You said WG is possible 'without arts' , thats what he meant I suppose.

Sure, WG doesn't require full arts but still medium AP is required.
But anyways you will need full arts or close to full arts, always for 3 stars.
I don't get why arts is being brought up as well. I believe hozz was implying that since wg/cg is more expensive to play it should give better ratio. Primarily that is not the case because wg pays back at least enough for arts, and secondly hunts, enchanted group battles, etc. require very expensive arts as well.

I understand that no one here can change this but the reason I started this thread was to get an opinion about what others think of this issue and why do they think admins are not fixing it.

It seems like it's a clear consensus that fsp/exp ratio should be improved in these battles, so thanks for your opinions on that. But why do you think admins are not changing this? It's not like they have never changed it. If you play ST you will notice the significant change in ST fsp/exp ratio. From being pretty bad, to now if played correctly one of the best battle types in this game in terms of fsp/exp, even better than wg.
So admins changed it because ST was getting desolated, but this is the very case with group battles for example. I almost never see gb/duels any more. So if admins fixed st, why not fix gb? And not just fsp/exp, but also allow filters, such as creator can limit ap of participants, which has been requested for ages now.

Since you really want to understand admin's reasoning i really wonder if these plebs' reasoning will satisfy you but here goes another attempt-

Good reason:
They want to discourage PvP outside guilds because it would weaken overall guild progress relative to XP. Current ratio is set to be objectively bad and is a big deterrent for most players (alt chars, newbies exceptions here).

Unfortunate reason:
They don't want people to farm good fsp for cheap. More fsp advantage should come to the sorts of richer players, or dedicated players, and is not supposed to be easily attained before you have put in the work to build your financial resources.
