AuthorWhen will the next single-player event be?
So recently i haven't even been doing much in the game, partly because at this point the events are the only thing i come back for, and because enrolling just feels tedious.
And i've been coming back about every week or two just to see every event be multiplayer in some way.

The tournaments are obviously PvP, that's fine. But even the other events like the pirates and portal of time that was there earlier etc.
They all require 2 players and have matchmaking and stuff.
I don't have anything against other players, but it's just adding in more variables.
Like if they even know how to play properly as a team or if their equipment is any good or if they suddenly go afk and all these factors, i'm just tired of them.

I want to play an event by myself so that if anything then i'm the only one responsible for winning or losing. I don't have to worry about what equipment i'll use because it's mine, not someone else, about what strategy to use because i'm the only one using it.

I want all the blame for losing and all the honour for winning by myself, if i put it that way.

So, could anyone tell me, when will the next single-player event be?

Oh also, if i was dedicated enough, i would bring an alt character to my level and play with that, but it's against the rules unless you make a special exception for me.
By this rule:
3.8.1. Participation of several characters played from one computer in one combat is prohibited.
And change it to allow several characters from same person if that person is the only human participating in combat, or something like that.
Topic moved from "General game forum" to "Queries and help".
Nobody except admins know
Err, that is why i posted it in the general game part instead of the queries part? Because i knew i wouldn't get a direct answer.

I suppose that if the admins so feel like it they could give the list for future events for the month/ 2 months, idk why but i think that happened before.

Or if the rules are changed or i get some special exception, that's possible too.
Admins never give list of future event, however they indicated in interview alt dwarf event is gonna be soon, probably after current event.
No indication of it being 1vs1 or not.
for ImmortalRegis:
Christmas/new year always has some 1v1 mini event I guess. Also dwarf insight will be single player st. Other than that probably nothing before next year.
Err, that is why i posted it in the general game part instead of the queries part? Because i knew i wouldn't get a direct answer.

But you did get a direct answer. Only admins exact dates for sure but you can expect something soon during Christmas and the dwarf ST.
when was the last 1 vs 1 event ?? i dont remember any
You recently had 2 such events, those mirror battle events and pirates event, and those 2 came back to back.
We will have soon dwarf insight ? :o

The admins don't come into our forums and answer questions.

They don't give a list of event times. The closest indication have been the Interviews they gave to the Russian Radio where they spoke about possible events coming up.

Or if the rules are changed or i get some special exception, that's possible too.

That's not possible. The admins will not make exceptions for you on the multi-char rules. If you start to make exceptions, then other players expect the same treatment. Next thing would be that the rule is pointless.

There were 1v1 events in August and September. You're just going to have to wait and see whether there will be any others soon.

We will have soon dwarf insight ?

Well in the interviews the Admins have been talking about alt-dwarf and the event and insight coming soon. However, it looks like they've been occupied with the switch from Flash to HTML. So don't get your hopes up too much! ;)

That was my intention from the start though. It's a trap meant to eventually,
And change it to allow several characters from same person if that person is the only human participating in combat, or something like that.

At this point after about a year of hearing that, i've learnt to not keep my expectations for any changes happening too soon.

You can look at my combat log. It has a fairly clear pattern of participating only in the 1v1 events.

They don't give a list of event times.
It feels odd to me that they don't try to build up any hype for any event's start. It just randomly happens.
You would think that maybe the empire's logistics forces get paid to do their job so events don't come as a surprise to the feudal lords but maybe they're understaffed or underpaid or unwilling or all three.

Yeah except most events are a result of enemy forces attacking the Empire. It would be a little strange if the pirates or creatures from the past sent a message through to say; Hey we are going to attack you in 2 months time, better prepare yourself". Don't you think that might ruin their element of surprise? ;)

Yeah except most events are a result of enemy forces attacking the Empire.
It would be a valid thing, if they actually were. Moving armies takes a lot of resources and there's no way that the empire shouldn't notice a whole army of robbers and pirates making a move.
The merchants would be among the first to notice that a particular nation is buying rations and supplies in large quantities.

Otherwise isn't the empire pretty incompetent? They weren't able to predict rebels inside their own lands. And the dungeons and their appearance also came as a surprise?
And another event a while longer ago, one about defending a village, how did that come as a surprise?

Or does the empire perhaps just not care about the puny feudal lords that do the actual fighting? That's seems more likely.
Okay, another point after glancing through the announcement posts.
The great experiment. an event that the empire itself planned.
But there was no advanced notice of such an event.
The lords are just the guinea pigs of this experiment who don't really need to be informed prior to the experiment actually happening.
I laughed a lot with Post 15#, Lol. Its funny... XD

We cant find the "Logic" to every Event we get, my friend.
Yes, in many games they have a Schedule/Calendar/Whateveryoucallitinenglish with the upcoming things, but this game apparently is not like that.
Its just the way it is, we have to accept it, man.
I (And many other Lords from LWM) accepted for a long time that many things could be awesome, but arent, for whatever reason.

It feels odd to me that they don't try to build up any hype for any event's start. It just randomly happens.
Totally agree, doesnt make sense at all, from the "Bussiness", and from the "Human" View.

Answering your main question:
When will the next single-player event be?
As others said before, Dwarf is "Coming" (Yes, I know, they said it a long time ago, and they are late), + Christmas is soon, + New Year...
We are approaching a time of many Regular Events, so I dont think you'll get the one you want in the next 1-2 months (My personal opinion, Im not an Admin, IDK :P).
If admins start to advance the dates on which events begin to please half the community, the other half will go "Oh man, they ruined the surprise element!".
No game (or anything, for that matter) suits everyone. If you have relevant problems with LWM, well, maybe this game isn't for you.
And I'm not trying to end the discussion or shut you up - you had me at make a special exception for me.
Syrian did get the point of the post, the discussion refer to #4 where i mention why i posted it in the general forum instead of the query one.
My initial argument, or rather the point i was trying to get across still is me suggesting that the events be announced in advanced. And i also reasoned that virtually there should be no reason not to do that, except perhaps keep the tradition that has been continuing till now. It's perfectly logical lore-wise. Reasonable from the perspective of a 'business' and 'human' as Ipsen mentioned.

Idk maybe this argument falls flat on its face but i'm a millennial with a short attention span. If i don't have anything to look forward to, i might just forget about it. Same happened with the game which is why i missed the Halloween event. If for example it was mentioned that such an event would happen a week ago before it did, i might have been on time for it.

I've just learnt over time that sometimes diffusing the situation a bit by saying jokes can help take the discussion further. Me saying the special exception part obviously is a joke, it even has me acknowledging the unfairness of such a thing by calling it 'special' instead of just an exception.

That's enough of a recap i suppose, now to add to it.

"Oh man, they ruined the surprise element!".
The surprise is only there if i'm checking for it daily. It's not a surprise if it happened while i'm not there. Cue in the halloween event which i totally-didn't-miss-because-it-happens-only-on-one-day.
If for example it was mentioned that such an event would happen a week ago before it did, i might have been on time for it.

Halloween event happens every year. There were 2 threads in the forum discussing it a few days beforehand.

Here is a list of pre-planned (read: predictable) events every year.

31-12 until 03-01 New Year
07-01 until 10-01 Christmas for players registered through .ru
14-02 Valentines Day
23-02 Defenders Day
01-03 Server Birthday (.ru)
08-03 Womens Day
01-04 April Fools Day
09-05 Victory Day
31-10 Halloween
25-12 until 27-12 Christmas for players registered through .com

Not all of them have anything major to celebrate and do.

This discussion could go round in circles - But the reality is, the admins do not read our forum, so making suggestions here about changing it are fruitless. If you'd like to make a suggestion; you can post it here: https://www.lordswm.com/forum_thread.php?id=103

I'm going to lock the topic, because the original question has been answered as sufficiently as it can be: We simply do not know when the next single player event will be!
