If a normal unit (as of movement) walks into a stalker while invisible , it will stop and attack it normally.
What happens if a dreadlord (Teleporter unit) chooses his location to move? It stops in an adjacent tile and it attacks it? And what with Flyer units?
Im curious to know, as necro units have many flyers/teleporters.
thanks. |
Appariton hits him if its exact spot. I wonder what happens if you fly next to him |
If you go straight past stalkers, you hit stalkers. ( Not applicable for flyer/teleporters )
If you go from adjacent tile of stalker to enemy, but your final tile is not adjacent to stalker - Then stalker is still invisible.
If you stand adjacent to stalker and hit enemy, stalker is revealed in this case, but your troop will attack enemy and not stalker. ( Same applicable for flyer/teleporter ) |

Also while attacking enemy ( who is adjacent to stalker ), and you chose to attack enemy from tile where stalker is currently standing, only in such case your unit will attack stalker. |
If flyer ends its move on a tile where stalkers are, stalkers are revealed but flyer lose its turn (does not move and does not attack).
If it ends on a tile adjacent to stalkers, then it reveals stalkers and attack whatever you told it to attack. |
Awesome explanations, friends! Yet:
- Appariton hits him if its exact spot.

Both contradict each other, final answer please? :P
I understand this is not a 100% clear issue I suppose, reason why some may be confused, and reason why I ask.
Just wanna know, since Im facing some TDEs lately.
Only 100% sure thing would be to try and do it in CG maybe, but wanna know before facing that situation.
For instance, I recently knew if you TRY to raise a unit under invisible Witches, you lose your Hero turn :P |

Interesting. Do you at least reveal the witches?
It could be that I'm remembering the old rules, now I wonder if it could have changed. I certainly remember losing turns with genies that way, that's a cheap way to lose a battle getting charged by lizards that should be dead. |
Maybe the flyer loses the turn if there's no spot next to the invisible guys where it could land..? Or maybe there's something with large creatures in general. Anyway, I just checked one fight against a tamer and my appas did hit an invisible witch, and I'm pretty sure i clicked the spot where she was standing |
If an invisible stalker happens to be in the way of a retribution strike, will it take damage? |
Yes it will take.
Also it takes effects from mass dark/holy spells, or chaos spells ( fireball, meteor rain etc. ) |
chaos spells ( fireball,meteor rain etc. )
Not chain lightning, it only zaps to visible stacks. |
Thanks for the info. |
If you telport with vampire on exact spot where invisible unit is stand you just lose you turn :(
I got that situation in tournament, so I can easily find it if needed. |

Please.. will be good to see |
I wonder why my stalker, while invisible, going across the enemy stalker, attacks him, and gets RETALIATED?
Should it be that stalkers while invisible and attacking, does not retaliate? |

As far as i know, flyers will stop one tile before and hit; teleporters will loose their turn.

It is part of the stalker's invisible ability to retaliate the unit that crosses their path. In your case, your stalker isn't attacking, but just moving, so the defender's ability applies (even if it is invisible). |

Actually, if the tile where the flier ought to land is occupied, the unit does lose its turn too (happened to me with griffins once, as with dreadbanes) |

Here is a forum post where we have discussed this. I have tested this with genies in a battle as well.

That is the correct answer. |
@19 yet, I still insist that my apparitons did hit the invisible witches when I clicked their location. I would guess that the flyer doesn't hit or move only when its landing site is occupied |
