Decreasing the speed of invokers by 1 should help strategically without compromising the efficiency of the rune too much. They did the same to lizard chargers.
Thats a better suggestion, I knew there was a simpler remedy!
It's interesting that dwarves and their piercing luck is making so much fuss, when there's dark barb which was clearly more overpowered in the last MT++. Looking at the average win rates on lvls 14-19, only on lvl18 dwarf was clearly better than dark barb, while it was worse or much worse on lvls 14,16,17 and 19. Although that data is only for duels, it shouldn't be too bad of an indicator for 2vs2 either.

Admittedly dwarf still had avg win rate 57% over those levels, so we can expect some sort of nerf on them. On the other hand, MT statistics suggest that dark barb is stronger at the moment but you don't see them in CG that often. Maybe this means that a lot of people just like playing dwarf instead of them being overly OP?
About the retribution strike invoker - in my opinion it's normally not impossible to counter, although you might need to make some compromises in unit placement.
Personnaly I would nerf the shooters... Low level dwarf has barely any shooters but afterwards they get shooters that are as good as other factions but insane HP and runes to toy with.

As the defender it's already impossible to properly protect shooters correctly with berserks to sneak in, invokers with activated ability and their chain lightning, dragons with agility and star crossed attack of grandfathers and the need to spread stacks to not give favourable openings for retribution.

Dwarf even has evasion to counter shooter builds but it doesn't even use it because it can just outshoot most shooters.

@26 charmer vs tde is well balanced on lvl16, with balanced stats you might expect to win half and lose half

Your battle didn't start that well, bows didn't get to do anything before they were confused. Also one thing that I might have done differently is focusing on lizards instead of minos
Lizards had defend on, minos didn't.
Whats the point of having shooters when they don't deal damage because of oponents utility?
Whats the point of having attack if you still don't do damage?
Maybe I should just build a bloody defense charmer?????
I agree. I have started to play CG and so far in every battle there is a dwarf and sometimes even half the players in multibattle are dwarfs.
The dwarf faction seems to be the only faction that is good against all of the other factions. And there is no tactic either, it's always the same over and over. The invoker will try rune of retribution. He will use the handfull berserkers to either hit his own shooters to be able to shoot twice with rune of crusade or run with rune of agility to block your shooters. When his luck triggers in during these first turns the battle is allready decided and if it does not the battle is still not lost for him.
And when you are a caster it will even use rune of agility 3 times to come and hit with all in 1st turn.
In short it can counter all the other factions while the other factions always have one or two counterfactions while the dwarf has none. For pvp it is the most unbalanced faction of them all due to this.
I think the problem lies more with the recruitment size of patriarchs, they are way too high. Barbarian doesn't get that many cyclopses either but half that, same goes for darkelf with its witches, even necro doesnt get that many liches.
Reducing the patriarchs from 20 to 16 might be enough to balance the scales.

It's not like making drama around the OPed cyclops will change anything. The MT results are here and if it's not enough for a rebalance then nothing else will. That should be expected that giving an almost impossible to kill shooter the most powerful dark spell is going to break things one way or another. At least there aren't as many barbs than there are shorties.

That's true, I wonder if they're planning more rebalancing than just troop numbers, it seems like it's taking longer than usually after MTs. Could be the crew is just busy with html5 though

This is indeed a bless for us all, it takes ages to grind them down and even then they're likely to win :p
IMHO, the solution to the problem would be to bring back the old wizard with his full mini arts (when there was luck and such), and make the spells a bit more efficient (doesn't mean more powerful). This way, the "banes kill 'em all" strategy would lose a lot of its advantages.

And of course, better spells would profit to all, and make "magic" builds finally equal to might.
