I faced some tribal enemy in Duel - enemy had morale = 1 (as basic)
By the end of combat shamans had morale 8
What is the reason?
As for tribal sky shaman it states:
200 spirit points+2% ini
500 spirit pointsx2 SP and +8HP
1000 spirit points x4 SP
(no morale bonus)
While "Sacrifice goblin" say +1 morale up to +5 |

Stack of 18 shamans has 8(+2) morale at the end, while other - lower stack had 5(+2)
- for me it seems there is no max.... or at least its not +5....

So you got the first part right.
Sacrifice goblin:
α Activated special ability.
This creature can sacrifice commanded tribal goblins adjacent to itself to restore mana and increase combat parameters. It sacrifices 1 goblin (at full hp if possible) restoring 2 mana per hit point of the goblin, and increasing its attack, defense and morale by 1 (up to +5 total bonus).
The +2 bit comes from a hero spell called "Tribal supremacy"
