Why is the auto battle broken for chaos wizards?

Everytime I press auto battle on any near certain battle my character ALWAYS casts a holy magic spell on my troops, which will then mostly defend.

Seems pointless and a waste of time. I nearly lost a watchers guild battle after pressing auto finish for this exact reason.

Casting haste or bless on my gargoyles is not helpful. Finish them off with a chaos spell.

Any way this can be changed in any future update? They've fixed the other broken AI tactics before. Why not on this one?

AI is broken in general for players.. I've had times where zerker uses agility rune and walks 4 steps. It's just stupid
This is the reason I never press auto its not only safer but quicker after its cast all its holy spells haha

sucks. I'd like to have thought they would use the same logic as they do against you? I've never had the AI completely waste an agility rune on me. Within reason i guess, plenty of times they've used runes at less than optimal times!

Casts rapid on my lorekeepers, uses earthern spikes, then rapid on my 13 genies, then stoneskin on my lorekeepers....

Surely this isn't right?
Classic wiz AI is really bad, it always gets confused on which school it must use and wether it must attack or defend. Play BW instead, if you go destruction then AI will use spells decently.

BW has been damaged by golems though. Grotesque's are alright but nowhere near as good as gargs for Merc/hunters guild survivability. I also love classic wizard. It's how I started here!

I kind of wish I didn't pay for the holy upgrade on my mage guild. Would have been a lot simpler.

Since the removal of magic resistance to direct spells on the lode coating.

They just don't have the manoeuvrability of gargs and now don't have the survivability either.

They can work on some merc/hunter guild quests but that's about it. Enchanted gargs are much more viable.
Yeah i agree that i much prefer classic wiz, in all forms as i dont like how easy bw is to kill, only has one good unit really until maybe 16, classic all the way for me i just never press auto!
When fighting monsters, I wanted it to use holy spells. but it keeps using magic punch
