AI in quick tournaments

AuthorAI in quick tournaments
I have 2 points here
( 1 )
I don't know why but every time I play vs Wizard
The AI who's controlling my troops are acting strange
instead of attacking they wait while the enemy is in the range of attack
is anyone here facing the same problem ?!
---------------
( 2 )
in some tournaments even with me using the best possible gears with AP more than 150 but I find myself sometimes like doing nothing at all to the AI enemy
some of them are too powerful in a way that you can't understand how
so what's the criteria for those AI players in this tournament
I know it's random but there must be a limit for their AP or what
Example battles?
for ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) as you can see the necromancer AI here is too OP
and they destroyed everyone in this tournament easily also you can see that my dwarfs troops waited while they can reach the enemy troops
they can either reach the enemy or use agility rune but instead they waited

you can follow up here in this tournament to see how powerful that necromancer AI

for FearMyArmy:

The reason you waited in the first turn is because your troops recognised that they would get slaughtered by the necro if they moved forward, so rather than suicide themselves, they waited for the necro to move first. Once the necro was in range, your troops decided to attack the wizard as there was really no running away from the necro.

So in the first turn the AI asked whether it was worth rushing up and dying right away. In the second turn, the AI recognised that the strong enemy was within range and you weren't going to run away, so you started attacking.

There's a simple answer for that - They are using 4 heavily enchanted armours.

I am not sure if you are aware, but you can Ctrl + Click on an enemy hero twice to see the effects of their artifacts. If you Ctrl + Click twice on the necro, you will see that he has 66.6% Earth, Water, Fire and Air damage reduction + 40% to Decrease Charger's Stack.

You aren't doing any damage to him due to the heavy armour enchantments.

As you mentioned, the AI you get are random. You could get some in full shop AP or you could get some in fully enchanted sets.
for Corey:
thank you for all the details
so simply if the enemy player has higher damage potentional my troops will wait
please correct me if I am wrong
for FearMyArmy:

It's not necessarily that simple. It's a trade off - If you are in reach of the enemy player with higher damager, i.e if that Necro could reach you on the first turn, you most likely would have moved or attacked first as the AI anticipates that your stacks will perish regardless, so best to make the first move in that case.

If you are out of reach you are more likely to wait, as the more powerful AI enemy is generally the one that will charge in to take the fight.

It will also depend with how much difference in attacking/defensive power the enemy has. If the advantage your enemy has is negligable, your troops may move or attack first. In this case, the necro had such high defensive power, in addition to a couple of weapon enchants that you stayed put.
