I think that drop rate is higher than in the given link, because it was just after the formula was corrected.

Well 270 to 700 is a 2.6 times increase. Applying that to the previous increment gives 1820. However the increment increases each time. As such I think probably in the order of 2k

That's about 1,333 1.5 battles

8 battles a day is 166 days, or about 5 and a half months.

Or maybe just under 5 months with our LeG events.
According to the dailyheroes link so far legendary creature has only dropped just once in 811091 fights making it a chance of 0.0009%, now that there sais it all. Even very rare dropped only 54 times making that a 0.0502% chance. So it's basically non-existent. You'll have a higher chance to run into the hamster battle with these odds.

What are the leaders guild level of these battles though? Since there is a higher chance at higher levels.

Similarly, how many of these combats were before the drop rate was fixed?
@Meshy, had you bothered to look at the given dailyheroes link at post #85, you would have seen all leaderguild levels at that time were presented. And what's fixed? Just by saying it is fixed does not make it so, we need to see drops and stats otherwise it will just be nonsensical words.
This is of course an excellent day to play in high AP and get lots of extra followers. I got 1754 hobgoblins (uncommon) and could immediately exchange them for a rare stack.

In light of my prediction for next LeG level I had a look at the other tables with a bit more of a critical eye and it is evident that some are constructed quite differently, and not with an even increase. Essentially this suggests that they are making a judgement based on game dynamics and not just applying a formula. Eg thieves guild shows a linear increase in difficulty, whereas hunters guild and mercenaries guild does not due to the fixed difficulty of levels. This may be reflected in the tables.

Faction level, increases fairly consistently for the whole way

Labourers guild, the increment doubles each time until 2000, then a fixed increase of 1000 more than the previous increase

Hunters guild is very inconsistent in the size of the increment

Mercenaries guild has a low increment between 7-8 (then starts to decline in the rate of increase past level 10

Thieves guild, despite fairly consistent increase in demand of this guild, shows a haphazard increment, a huge increase from 7 to 8 not in keeping with the rest.

Similarly leaders guild shows a huge increase from 9 to 10. However, is it reasonable to assume this increment will be maintained, or will (like TG) the rate of increment drop?

Commanders guild similarly has a spike from 2 to 3 and then decreases again.
As such if like TG the LeG increase returns to a similar increase as previously I would expect LeG 11 to be at 3000 points.

However, if they carried on the pattern to get 2 epics, then this would be pretty cheap considering no increase in game difficulty.

To me then it could be anywhere in between 800 and 2000, perhaps they will keep it simply and go for a 1k increment, there is a natural affinity for straight forward numbers which tends to influence choices.
They could keep giving 1 epic or 1 epic and some rare.
Indeed, I think if they go for a lower increment they may do that, for a higher one perhaps stay with current trend and do 2 epics.

The highest LeG player is at about 2780 so about 18 days from the lower band of what is predicted. As such probably not too long from when they may update info, though I though alt dwarf would be here soon so I wouldn't trust my judgement!

Do you guys play leaders guild just because its fun and you like it?? Do you try to make a profit from it? I have not done much with it because the bonus you get from leveling up the guild is mostly focused around doing getting stronger to do more guild battles and there is not much character bonus outside of guild battles. There is 1% bonus initiative but it seems like alot of work to get it. Am I missing something?

It's a guild that is important for clans competing with one another. People who do not develop it are generally not as valuable for the more competitive clans. Overall, it has been a gold pit for everyone.
Actually it has zero value for clans competing with one another. The creatures you gain from prizes cannot be used in any competition between clans. You can only use them in the leaderguild. Playin it or not playing it makes no difference in the overall of the game, the 1% ini is not even noticable on the higher combat levels. If you have allready started this guild, as soon as you hit lvl 9 and get the 1% stop immediately and give this guild the bird.
In short, whatever happens in the leaderguild stays in the leaderguild.

And all those thinking they were gonna make lots of profit from it by leveling up this guild returned from a cold shower since the admin keeps cranking up the AI difficulty. The AI creatures will even run away from your creatures it can hit to reach your buffers on its next turn to make you lose max gold since they are more expensive. And when you take creatures with 8 speed, don't worry the game places 5 obstacles so you won't be able to reach much. This guild has been really thought out to squeeze as much as gold out of the players as possible.
I level up the guild because LeG events are fun. :P The grinding itself isn't that great - I just auto the battles and eat the gold loss.

If only trying out different strategies in events didn't cost so much...

Actually you do make profit at higher levels, obviously it depends on enemy and difficulty you go for but when you take the 1 point battles with decent units then you can regularly get profit
