Remove ressurection costs for LeG events

AuthorRemove ressurection costs for LeG events
hmm. You'll get there.
Meshy would have said the same thing had he not lost the times he has. You've had 4 losses at 31. When you get to 14, we can talk again.

Whether or not there are people who lost 4 times or 14 times on a single wave only speaks for the difficulty of the event. It does not help your argument in any way as to why the battles should be completely cost-free since that is what you suggested. Don't drag your personal emotions into this to make your point, and don't expect people to be sympathetic to you when all you have to offer is a zero valid arguments and a condescending attitude.

I put the burden on you to show why there should be a cost attached in the first place, but nice deflection.
LeG is a side mini-game that can very well be run independent of costs comparable to the main one.

Damn right I'll bring personal emotions to this. We're not robots. This game is played by real players. And there are certain aspects of the game that bring frustration that cannot be expressed without emotions.
LeG frustrates people like nothing else. And that causes real resentment. I see skype chats full of people complaining about LeG. Even some of the ones who actively play do it for the clan or the 1% ini, and actively find it a burden.
Is this how a game is run? Events are based around a part of the game that a significant portion doesn't like.
All I proposed was a way that could maybe lessen the resentment. One would think that's a good goal to work to.

This "emotional toll" you speak of is just a load of bull.
You're out of touch with the prevailing emotions. I'll leave it at that.

+1 to some basic cost and then free retries.
I think the game is in a better state when people keep trying, rather than giving in after 2-3 losses.

I agree with this whole-heartedly. Being able to try again and again is a lot of fun and it teaches a lot of lessons. I personally am able to donate since I earn a below average salary in a rich country. And I spent the diamonds to get crusaders. Gold is not an issue to me. But I can understand how it can be an issue to others. Personally, I would like gold not to be hindrance to players preventing them from enjoying the game. This is the reason why I donate to the clan. The clan can distribute the gold to players who cannot enrol like me every hour.

I would love to see everyone trying and trying, and coming up with strategies based on the stacks they have. My record is pathetic in this ongoing event - 40 / 173. And I know for a fact that 'The One Ring' is a better player than me (most of you guys would be, as well). I look forward to see the strategies he came up with to defeat the waves. If he cannot do the event due to lack of gold and not lack of skill, that is a bit disappointing.

This event was a lot of fun. I did not expect the number of tries to be an issue since gold is not a limiting factor for me. But if it is, surely, we as a community must try to get that fixed enabling more players to find creative solutions for clearing the levels.
Not at all, I've only lost 14 times and they're probably decently spread out. I'm all for money sinks (working to Sg8), but I feel like there should be some restraint from the admins, which would probably encourage people to keep trying for longer.

Sorry for the double post, but this is worth repeating. Meshy has put forward what I wanted to say concisely.

Lol, you point finger at me for deflecting on a suggestion thread made by you without anything behind it. That is just so..peculiar of you, its almost interesting :D

Doesn't seem like a side mini-game now that you are whining, and if it were actually independent of costs, then most people would be able to do +1 LG missions without any gold loss which is not the case and you already knew it.

"frustrates people like nothing else" Your source for this not so objective observation? Skype chats! =lol.
But yes, being frustrated is your birthright, i will give you that xD But if i am not feeling frustrated yet, may i please please leave my opinion that you get a -1 ? If you wanna keep attacking me for this, lets carry it on via PM, I promise I won't feel sad :D
Rich folks hating on freebies. Can't be surprised.
heck no lol im all for freebies...
would absolutely loved it if lords gave daily login gifts as well as stay logged in for how many minutes and get some free stuff or free spins or something...

but not for events...
it can be cheaper, it can have some discount or it can have whatever idc but not free...
if its totally free it would take the drive out of completing it...
would it be fun if everybody could complete at no cost whatsoever?
i like balancing cost and return...
ill admit the recent cuts in reward make the return rather inferior to the cost but still i wont agree to it being totally free...hence my -1

ps. im not rich i have 0 enchanted arts no estate and only 2 castles...
i can use up all my gold in 5 minutes...
i just like the string of figures there ...
I suggest 50% discount on resurrection during events.

Another guy said something like 3 free resurrect per lvl. Something like this seems also pretty reasonable in my opinion.
To be real, 100g avg. per 1k leadership point is not that bad. The issue comes in events like this with higher LeG guild you were face multiple wipes that deals a big blow to your gold and morale.

As a possible solution, i think that a button that allows you to flee during combat saving part of your army would solve this matter (you have different ways to do this, for exampleyou have to make each stack flee on their turn).
Many times in events like this you find yourself being crushed, so taking up the losses and save some resurrection gold would be fantastic. Instead watching at a 1600g loss cause of bad decisions, army or movements or positioning, is not fun at all.
The possibility to “scout” fights by escaping early would involve players a lot with finding strategies and experimenting, and to return to the flee button to avoid people entering battles and leaving early, you could make that only 50% of total army can flee safely from a battle. (800g loss when you know you are defeated doesn’t look that bad).

It’s late, sorry for the mistakes in the sentences.
We earn gold the first easy levels if we play skillfully because the reward is larger then the cost of resurrection. Apart from rewards in gold, we also get other valuables. Why shouldn't it be connected to some cost? This simply wouldn't be a game of war and money if we got everything for free.

Part of the fun is to carefully think about the opposition and pick the best creatures to counter their abilities. You would not get that the same way if you could just try every possible combination and use auto combat.
