There's no proof, but I feel that who joined first get preference for matching.
I have seen that whenever I joins at last few seconds, I get paired with bots more frequently. |

For example, in cg duels, if i am last to enlist for a total of 3 participants then i can still get matched with either the 1st or 2nd player. Which means that all participants have equal chance of being kicked out to leave the remaining two. In 2x2 cg it was likely same, but after the cg changes, instead of getting kicked you go against bots in pairs. |
I am not so sure about that, but for duel preference is still given unless players joining at 1st 2 places haven't fought yet.
Actually long ago tested out this theory with a friend, once of us got kicked after playing with each other on next round.
So maybe, if 3 players join, preference is still given to first two unless they both already fought with each other.
Or atleast it used to be like this, since I tested this long ago.. was around CL10 that time iirc. |
Also in addition, I've been joining intentionally in last 10 secs CGs today, and you can see in my logs how many bots I faced.
Just now faced them too, while total players were 38. Coincidence? looks too convenient to me.. |

Are you sure about this? Because its completely false based on my experience. Pairs are selected from the complete pool of participants, it does not matter when you joined. There is a different way how preset and solos in group battles were matched as the latter were given priority for even levels (ensuring a higher chance for something like 14,15 versus 14,15) where as preset teams found themselves in mixed type battles.
Have you never been kicked out when you joined early and few people joined after you? I surely have. |

i'm talking about the old cg duels. mixed cg didn't have this problem. if you want to dig, i can give you some names. you would find they were paired to duel each other wearing minimum arts daily. and if they were in duel with other player not in their group, they wore signifcanlty better arts. |
