song of time

Authorsong of time
Mummies have this ability. I am not able to find its description. What does this ability do?
If im not mistake - 20%ini to all hostile troops next to it
You can find the description on the help page (Special Abilities): All adjacent enemies get -20% initiative. latviesu is correct.
I’m trying to remember why we name it “Song of time”. That seems so inappropriate. I can’t imagine mummies making any sound that resembles a song. More like “Keen of time” or “Wail of time”.
Song comes from the verb sing, and singing doesn't automatically mean something pleasant/melodious music even if thats what you happen to think. Personally, I like "song of time," it definitely sounds more appropriate to me than keen of time or wail of time (what even is that lol).

Same.
In this case i think the mummies are singing a song about bad omens or something like a death ritual to scare nearby enemies to slow them down.

They're mummies. They are incapable of "singing". It's a face covered with cloth, mouth probably sewn shut.
Don't know if Wail is a more correct choice than Squal though.
“Wail of time”. ++
squeal*
you don't need a fully open mouth to sing. And cloth isn't exactly 100% soundproof lol
So you are saying that mummies cannot sing but squeal and wail they can. That is Logic 10/10.

They are all the same technically. Squealing, wailing or even screeching qualify as singing or not really further apart from the act of singing if you read my earlier comment. The differences between each depend on the perspective of the listener. What i was saying is that song of time is a better fit (wail of time doesn't seem at all right to me). Maybe anyone who has an advanced english knowledge here will correct us but this is it :)
This mummy talk reminds me of a scene from hxh -

Check it out :D
Hmm. My vocabulary is limited.
What do you call it when you emit sound without opening your mouth?
There isn't a specific one word to describe that as far i know. What we call it is usually defined by the sound produced and how it feels. Humming is one example.

I'm sure you are familiar with the sound of stridulating insects, many would say that's singing too and it surely does not require a mouth. So get over the conventions, we are talking about a mummy singing, having an open or closed mouth is not exactly key here.

Humming is not what I'm thinking off. Humming can be pleasant. But if you increase the pitch and make it come directly from the throat, that's very unpleasant, and I imagine that's what the mummies are doing.
Clearly this should have a word.
Shriek maybe
