| Hi, I have two clans that I want to bring back to life eventually. What do you guys think about non-military clans and the role they play in this game? Should they host/run events? Act as a support group? |
Some have a purpose, like a couple of AK clans.
Some are just as a status symbol, such as

Some are just a gathering of friends |
Events are what most clans do.
Some are just for fun i guess like syrians brotherhood
Then there are some for people from same country or area for them to meet up. I've seen an russian clan called "kiev" where they organize meets.
Then there are the subsidiary clans for military clans.
Depends on why people join them tbh |

It's also kind of a legacy thing too. The game never used to have official military clans but there were always main/elite clans that filled the space now occupied by MCs.
survilurgs/war/facility capture never used to be a thing and clans were given the option to militarise by collecting funds from members. As the game has grown those that chose not to/couldn't afford to militarise have become slightly redundant.
Now these clans are just for fun or to bring players together with a similar purpose. Some players have their own clans to act as a personal bank account |
before CG created, main pvp fun was group battles. by rules, any arts are allowed in GB's. even enhance. but thats a huge pain. 2 min ap facing a full and a mid ap etc etc.

Sadly not anymore, admins removed this feature when Racoon Family ( https://www.lordswm.com/clan_info.php?id=9761 ) created a monopoly on min AP GB combats for the group battles day. |

They allow broadcast communication.
Titans for example has a second clan where everyone is a herald. Those who don't want the spam can mute second clan's mail while all the important mail comes via the main clan's mail. |

sad news. not for min AP thingy, but my hopes for CG with clan filter where we can set matches among friends would never happen :( |
