I completed the first campaign with easy difficulty, only to find the final reward about 60% of that two years ago.
Recent result:

reward: 11 ordinary resources and 8 rare resources, about 4860 gold.
Previous result:

reward: 8459 gold.

Yeah, I found the rewards less than before too though there wasn't any official announcement
