I finally hit necro 12. Im not interested in pushing to necro 13. I might as well find a secondary faction. Cant really decide which faction. Any thoughts or favorites? There are so many pluses and minuses to consider and I really only have the money to build 1 alt faction castle.
1-Elf and dark elf faction resist seem valuable because they are played heavily
2-Wizard seems fun and different but I get the feeling that wizards are not great at events and I will probably play alot of events with my 2nd faction.
3-Dark elf gives a variety of options with many different builds between tamer and classic and can still do full chaos magic.
4-Dwarf seems different and fun especially with new fire dwarf option.
5- Barb is mostly interesting because is has 3 different factions between classic, fury and shadow. Gives me more options to find something I like and is probably a good option for adventures guild points w 3 faction options.
6- Not very interested in knight or tribal or demon but I could be open to the idea if there was a good reason.
Any other thoughts and ideas. Anything Im missing? I realize its a personal preference choice but any additional insight before I bite the bullet and build a castle w upgrades is much appreciated. |

Great question. I have loved Necro and never had regret making it my home faction. Now im Just looking for something different than necro that will be fun and effective at all sorts of events and PVE with the long term goal of it being good in PVP as well. Having a chaos magic option is interesting because its very different but I dont really know if I will like it much or if it will be effective for me. Dwarf and Battle wise wizard with dominion of fire seem very different and could be fun.... Just looking for any general useful insight before I build the castle. If I had to pick now I would probably choose wizard or dark elf. Wizard opens up all sorts of chaos options and very cool battle wise dominion of fire stuff but I read somewhere that wizards just are not as good at events and that worries me (dont know if thats true). Also wizards seem like great fun in Hunts with the bonus damage. Dark elf opens a good chaos option and if I dont like that I can probably find good fun with tamer or might build. |
Personally I would suggest to go for dark elf, its good with might/magic also competitive in PvP.
Other option is check all factions out on day of recruiters and go with anything you find fun to play with. |

If you are mostly looking at events, then Dwarves are one of the most flexible factions in terms of builds due to runes. To be honest all factions have their strengths, it really depends upon what you like and which bit you tend to engage with.
For instance technically I like the idea of red demon, though in practice I do not like to play with them as battles are too long if you gate. That is the advantage of some of the more popular factions, PVE battles can be nice and quick with a low amount of clicking. |
I'd second the Dwarf option as your choice. The Ruins are a huge advantage and I use them quite frequently in events as well. Fire Dwarf is still somewhat overpowered, but basic Dwarf still rocks. |
I agree with dwarf and de, too damn flexible for any kind of battle. Magic or might.
Besides you have really good alt castles for both of them.
But give a look at elf too. It’s too OP provided you have the correct setup and talents installed for the battle. |
I like demon and dwarf as second factions. Demon is fun to play with gatings, while DD is nice because of the dark spells. |
