spell damage calculation

Authorspell damage calculation
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=1050938545

I did damage calculation for the spells cast here and found that the damage is way less than ones I calculated after factoring magic resistances

1. Meteorite rain on invokers (single target and hence no 15 percent penalty):

spell power of caster=41
theoretical damage without magic resistance= 19*19+41 =798
opponent's magic proof=32%
caster's pierce through magic resistance=35%
net magic resistance=(1-0.35)*32=20.8%

predicted damage= (1-0.208)*798 =623
Actual damage dealt =477

There is a huge gap between actual damage dealt and the predicted damage. This is true for all spells cast on his partner too .So the "resistance" talent of dwarf isn't deciding anything.

Clearly There is something i am missing here. Can anyone point it out?
I offer another example from the same battle

Spell cast by dark elf:chain lightning on wardens

predicted damage with elemental call=(19+19*33)*1.5=969
opponent's magic proof=28%
caster's pierce through magic resistance=26%
net magic resistance=(1-0.26)*28=20.72%

predicted damage= (1-0.2072)*969 =769
Actual damage dealt =676
For the 1st post, Resistance talent 20% magic shield is not part of the 32%. In addition, Dwarf has 15% resistance to DE (he has DE FSL 5)

Factoring that in we get:
Dwarf magic resistance = 1 - ( (1-0.32) * (1-0.2)) = 45.6%

Net resistance (accounting for pierce) = (1-0.35) * 0.456 = 0.2964 = 29.6%
Damage excluding faction resistance = 798 * (1-0.296) = 561.792 rounded to 562
Accounting for FSL = (1-0.15) * 562 = 477.7 rounded to 477

I'm not sure if there's a rounding error somewhere here or if rules of rounding are consistent/inconsistent (round up or down)

Calculations in decimals are viewed as integer/floor functions in LWM, if I'm not wrong
for Santremus:

Thanks for the reply. This just makes me appreciate the importance of faction skill resistance more.

Dwarf has 15% resistance to DE
Actually the resistance for wizard should have been taken.Luckily it is the same as that of DE for the dwarf in question. Hence, the math doesn't change.

Spell cast by dark elf:chain lightning on wardens

The knight has 12% resistance to DE(fsl 4)

Therefore net damage = (1-0.12)*769=676. Makes perfect sense!
