The way I read it was that it was infinite fights up until level 50, then finite thereafter. So as to differentiate between the top clans, without the bias of some people throwing gold at it till RNG wins it for them

This mercenary thing is getting pretty annoying. They need to make private hiring.
It is annoying for me to click on everyone only to see them going up with pre selected teammates.

True, they got delay, stoneskin, lightning, rapid and can virtually have an infinite mana supply and cost just 120 leadership. in comparison, shamans can only delay/rapid and cost 1k+ leadership
