Great to see them trying to revitalise the chat function, but it hasn't been used by hardly anyone on .Com since 2010. The changes aren't spectacular, but they have mentioned that they are going to continue making them, so it will be interesting to see how it ends up.
When I started playing this game in 2008, I used to spend a lot of time in the Inquiry Room with a group of around 20 or so players. It was a good way for me to get introduced to the game and made some good friends from there. In 2009/2010 Skype started to replace chat as the preferred way to communicate and now I guess there are other options. A bit sad for the few new players that might join the game as chat was a good place to get some quick help back in the day. |
| The fact that the chat doesn't seem to refresh every second to create horrible lag looks like a good start. Or perhaps it happened because I was alone in the chat? |

Future Updates can be:
1) Instead of a fixed bottom ribbon, make the chat into a flexible re-sizeable new window. We can place this anywhere on our screen and wouldn't be too obstructive to the gameplay.
2) Incorporate some kind of alert mechanism (A red dot or mail icon next to chat would suffice) when we get private messages in chat. |
Join the chat fellas. Maybe this could work out.
Worth a shot anyway.
Is far more inclusive and accessible than the clan chats. |
