| I've played a game which lasted around 10 minutes with nobody winning yet and suddenly enemy won by timeout though he just discarded a card. Note this was in a tournament so I wonder if there's some lock for too long games where winner is randomly decided? | In a tournament, every game has a time limit, to keep the tournament rolling. When time runs out, whoever has the bigger tower wins. I'm not sure what happens if the towers are equal; maybe the walls will then determine the winner.
Many players take advantage of this. If they see that their tower is currently higher, but they are behind in resources or hold bad cards, they will try to go for a win-by-timeout, by taking as long as possible to play each card. | | Yeah 10mins per game max. Very toxic way to win but it is how it is | Yes some people try to force the timeout by deliberately taking ages for each move. Those people need slapping.
It propagates throughout the tournament also, so if you make it through to say 3rd or 4th round with quick games you could be waiting 15 minutes or more for your next game. Extremely irritating |
