Authorquestions from the new guy
Hi all,

As a new DE player will need the experts opinions. My plan is to mainly play PVE and events. I'm F2P player. So, diamond perks for me.

My questions:

1. Might build or magic build?
2. Which darkness spell (levels 1/2) is the most debilitating for my opponent?
3. In level 5, is Tamer DE any good?
4. Any suggested talents?
5. guild building? (Labor guild is obvious). What to focus beyond Labor guild?
6. My main income will be enrolling. Any other suggestions? (no roulette please!).
7. Is ST worth it after the big change?
8. Which option is better? Go straight up to DE 10 or build faction resistance along the way?
9. Which faction will be a good alternative (secondary faction)?

Hey there. Looks like you are returning to game after a break. Welcome back!

1. For PvE, magic builds aren't that viable. Most of the times you will run out of mana. So I would suggest might build. These days, defence builds are great as well.

2. I don't understand this question. Do you mean Magic guild level 1 and 2?

3. TDEs are better at higher levels. When you get fsl7-8+ so that you can summon more spiders and harpies as the summon count depends on FSL.

4. For might DE you can take offense talents with luck. Or you can go fully luck.

5. I would say the guilds that give primary stats are most important. For example, Mercenaries Guild, Commanders Guild and Adventurer's guild. But at lower levels I would suggest you to keep doing hunts and Watcher's guild quests daily. When you get around combat level 6-7, you can start doing campaigns as it's easy and comparatively cheaper to do it at lower levels. Thieves guild is one of the most important guild for factions like Darke elves and Elves. You can join it at level 6 too.

6. Doing well in events and selling arts that you recieve as prize is a great way to earn gold. You can do lots of mercenaries guild quests as they drop elements quite often. And you can make money by selling them in market. Just check the price of elements in market))

7. If you enjoy it, you can play it. It still gives Hunter's guild points. But the rewards have dropped now.

8. Resistance is a very important aspect of this game imo. You can get FSL8 and fsl3 in others. And then go for fsl 10.

9. I would recommend dwarf for you. It's a very strong faction and is great at all levels. More than that, it's an anti faction for DE. Dwarves are pain for DEs. So building resistance for dwarfs may help you.

1. I mean magic guild level 1 and level 2. For DE, Darkness magic.

2. How does dwarf synergize with DE abilities? (full might)? Or instead of Dwarf use Fire dwarf?

It will take me time to gain the 500k+ for thieves' guild invitation

De is one of the best for pve. I reccomend alot of c9mmanders guild early to build your fsp ratio quickly. Don't be like me and be semi high lv with low commanders its hard to catchup. But I am q old player from when commanderw wasn't as useful. I won't restart my account because I don't feel like saving up for a tgi. Focus on theivws guild too if u can get a tgi. It is a good source of money late game.

Delay, curse, disruption ray or weakness.

As DE might build I have 10 mana due to one point in knowledge. So, investing in higher tier magic guild is quite useless unless I'm mistaken.

Level 14+ DE magic build is much better than might build in PvP.
So if you only intend to play PvP, yes indeed magic guild is useless.

All spells are good lol. They work differently.
Play the game at ur own pace and u will figure out soon enough.

1. depends on level, might much better for pve but on certain levels (especially 14+) magic is better for pvp

2. Delay and disruption ray are the most important/potent darkness spells.

3. Unsure, generally tamer is worse than regular de

4. A typical DE load out is morale + rally

5. Early in the game focus on HG/MG/WG, try and get a TGI for thieves guild at the earliest opportunity

6. The only viable ways to make gold in the game are enrolling and buying and selling in the market (shares are another option but for more established players)

7. Depends what you mean by worth it, to have fun and make money then yes if you like ST go for it. It's not the greatest ratio if you are trying to max your character.

8. Go straight for DE 10, more efficient to grind a main faction then get anti later. You will be uncompetitive if your main faction is below average.

9. Personal preference. When picking a secondary faction it can make sense to pick the natural enemy for your main. I have limited experience with DE but I would guess your nemesis is probably elf, perhaps dwarf. Better to pick a faction you enjoy though.

This is a little simplistic, quite a few of the events are profitable, if you are very good at the tavern game you can also make money through that.

If you are going to play might build, I would recommend disruption ray which is a MG2 spell. It reduces the defence of opponent by 5. Delay is very useful too as you can slow down your opponent.

Both Dwarf and Fire Dwarf have completely different play style. I would recommend you to try both once when you get cl5. :)
tamer is not worse than dark elf. Attack tamer smacks hard

For now keep 10 mana and put rest in attack. Do hunts till level 3 after that start with WG. When you get to level 5 still play with 10 mana and keep playing only HG and WG. After level 7 start with MG and maybe try out AG. But till you reach CL8 you don't have to worry about the things you're worrying right now, it's a long way and you will learn most of the game machanics on the way.
