As promised in Skype chat... I'm going to have to slap you...
This event should have been quite rewarding for most people, when you add the gold, potions and artifact. |
69 / 112 wins
51 durability artifact
122,039 gold
Maybe I should have tried harder in the last few days to finish the last 15 wins. To be honest, I think it would be better for them to award the gold in each battle won rather than award it at the end of the event. I would have been more willing to fight if I had more gold left. |
@Marquis Thornwald, I wasn't speaking for myself, I don't go for profit because there hardly is any in this game. I did this one in minimal AP to net the FSP for my lesser factions and somehow also got over 400k to net some MG and HG as well. But all those that went over the 700k in full AP to get potions got tons of losses for it as well.
A battle in full gear costs one around 1500 gold. One can do the math from there. So here is to admins upping the 700k to at least 1 million next time, for people trying to get the potions seem to enjoy the losses, so next time they will then really love them. |
Thanks for worrying about my financial well-being Lawton. However I'm already at a profit from gold + artifact, the 40 potions are just a freebie ;)
I can see why some would have issues with this event format. Victories give a comfortable feel for unsecure people but that's no good reason to shy away from defeats. You can also find confidence in the ability to overcome challenges. |
for death2all:
1 battle = 2k gold (best arts)
126 battle x 2k = 252k gold
Reward given 151k
Dagger 20k
21 bad potions = 10k
5 good potions = 10k
Total
191k profit and 252k gold used so loss of 60k not including buying elixir of recovery so I estimate my losses to be almost 100k.
Why can’t admins let player profit from event and give out 300-400k each event. Total nonsense |

Why they should? Guild points aren't good enough reward? |

few problems with your calculations, what set are you using... cause to my knowledge at best the sets are around 1.5k per battle.
i also believe you shouldnt be counting your losses, you had over 40 losses which by your calculations are over 80k.
common sense is you dont get rewarded for losses. |
Also forgot about 35 heaven bow artifact parts. |
@Marquis Thornwald
"Thanks for worrying about my financial well-being"
"Victories give a comfortable feel for unsecure people"
I was speaking in general but it is clear with your 44 losses in this event that I'm hitting the nail in the head, so instead you go on a condescending diarrhea to pet your own ego.
The admins made almost all bleed that tried to go for the potions for profit. Only a slight few have been able to make a profit. The rest either played even or suffered a loss. So I'm really hoping the admins will up that 700k army strength to 1 million for the potions next time so people like you will enjoy the losses even more.
@death2all, yes nobody gets rewarded for losses but kchong is clearly talking about what gold it cost for him to play this event, and losses in the event factor into those cost. |
It's no different then paying to enter a competition. If I go by your logic then what you want is to pay to enter a competition but be refunded if you lose... |
@death2all, No, I never said that, what I would find fair is that people going the distance should at least be rewarded for it. They go for harder levels which take more time to play them, more losses which take even more time or more cost with elixirs of recovery, max AP etc.
The admins dangle potions as an incentive that one going the distance can net good profit, while in reality from those that do only a slight few of them make some profit while the rest of them either play it even or suffer a loss. That's not much of an incentive to go the distance.
It's like doing overtime at work and instead of getting a nice check, you end up with a buck an hour for it. |
Decided to make actual estimation of my reward as those numbers up here looks a bit off to me.
CPB: ~1640 (all shop arts but cloak - maskrobe and necklace - amulet of fortune)
116 battles (lost some I couldve won, didnt push too hard to get best result)
Total Arts cost - 190k
Gold reward - 150k
Sold artifact - 60k
10 strong potions - 40k
23 weak potions - 16k
So I earned about 76k gold from this event.
If someone got worse result its either he used cheaper and weaker arts (so total arts cost would be lower) or played poorly. Also I think one would need to play very poorly to end up in a loss.
My conclusion is, everyone (even poor players) shouldve break even and your net gains depends on how well you played. I think the rewards are well set :) |
@Arekino. Weird then that we don't see any potions sold in your transfer list but you buying 2 of them instead:
