Firebirds can't be burned without magic pierce :P
Get any art that gives your hero "ignore magic resistance" buff then it will work. |

It does negate some part of it. But as long as u do 1 damage, the defense cut will work bro |
Magic resistance acts directly on spell damage while Magic pierce acts on magic resistance. It is a one sided relationship. Think of % magic pierce as the percent of magic resistance that you will ignore.
So the answer to your question is No. Magic resistance cannot cancel magic pierce. In fact, it's the opposite. Magic resistance gives meaning to magic pierce. If you cast on something with 0% magic resistance, then your magic pierce is not doing anything. If you are casting on something immune, like fireball on firebirds (=100% magic resistance), then your magic pierce has more meaning. |

No it caps at 100% so it doesn't help units with elemental immunity. |
